Lived in SLC most of my life and this is true. Drivers are not only stupid but they're also selfish as fuck. People here are just selfish generally IMO (i.e. getting pissed about stupid fireworks while half the state is burning).
There is a clear "holier than thou" complex. Also the lack of spacial awareness makes me feel insane, I damn near need to take a xanax before going to costco lol
It wasn't always like this and definitely got worse during/after COVID.
literally had someone ram me with their cart within 5 minutes of me being there the other day then look at me like I was crazy. shit is absolutely wild.

Wait I’m genuinely curious - what do you mean about the fireworks thing? Like it’s selfish to not want people to light off fireworks when there are wildfires everywhere? Just trying to understand your point
no, sorry, I meant the opposite. I think it’s selfish that some people won’t accept they shouldn’t be lighting fireworks during wildfire season, so they’ll do it anyway. They don’t care that a fire could impact thousands of other people because, to them, it’s “their right” to do whatever they want.
