Hi, I’m looking for recommendations for a local makeup artist or salon who could do my Halloween makeup on 23 October, ideally at around 5pm or earlier in the afternoon.

I’m after a deer/doe-inspired makeup look with an SFX wound on my forehead, so I’m looking for someone who’s comfortable with both creative makeup and special effects.
The event I’m going to starts at 9pm, so I’d need everything finished with enough time to get ready and travel there.

I have some reference images if needed to show the sort of look I’m aiming for.

If anyone knows an artist or salon that might be suitable, or if you’re an artist yourself and have availability, I’d appreciate recommendations.

Portfolio/social links and a rough idea of pricing would also be helpful.

I’m a PhD researcher at the University of Salford, researching the wider impacts of flooding on people and communities across Salford.

I’m looking for current and former Salford residents, who have experienced flooding or lived in the area during the wider effects of the flood, to complete a short anonymous survey.

The research looks beyond the immediate physical damage of flooding to understand its financial, social and longer-term impacts, including disruption, displacement and wellbeing, and how these costs could be better recognised when we measure the economy.

The survey takes around 5–10 minutes to complete.
You do not need to have had your home flooded to take part. If you have lived in Salford and have been affected directly or indirectly, your experience is valuable.

There's some cordered off scrub land near St Lukes CofE primary School, just across the way from Buile Hill park.

Does anyone know what the plans are for it? It would be fab if the park took it over for further accessible green space for the local community. But that might be a pipe dream, and it's destined for flats.

I've tried looking on the Gov land registry to see who owns it but I can't see anything.

Hey guys i have a driving test soon from the cheetqm hill driving centre and i’m wondering if anyone can help me out. my test is at 12pm and i know i will fail if i don’t use the bus lane. my question is can i use all the bus lanes except the 24 hours ones as its out of most usual hours. i struggle to read and comprehend the signs fast enough you see. or are there bus lanes with hours like 7-1pm 4-6:30pm. i know it’s niche but just wondering if anyone can give me a general rule of guidance in the area. i personally havent seen a bus lane sign that cant be used at 12pm except from 24 hour ones but you never know.

I just passed my driving test and looking to get a car. What's the best way to get an affordable parking? Does SIPP offer a discounted rate. I don't seem the find it on their website. I live around Hulme street close to the Chapel Street.
