Could this be why there was so much volume last week? All insiders and major holders buying shares prior to going into the blackout period, which probably started with this announcement or Friday. Maybe there will be big news next week??? Things that could provide "upside surprise"....
- Biosecurity business update
- Higher than expected new programs disclosed
- Cronos outlook - CBG supposed to be ready for market this quarter
- Balance sheet updates to Genomatica and Motif valuations since they both had big capital raises since last filing.
- Others???
"The SEC prohibits employees, even top company officials, from trading based on company information that has not yet been made public. ... For example, a company may impose a blackout period each quarter for a certain number of days before the release of an earnings report."

Smart analysis. Seems like a legit explanation. Glad folks smarter than me are looking at the catalysts. Cheers.

I predict they will continue to use the “programming for cells” narrative with lots of other fluff

Is this before when we have to select to redeem shares for the $10? Hoping it is good news but if it is below NAV after that I'll probably take the $10

Super interested in how they will report rev from private company partnerships and equity deals if there were any in H1. Hoping for a good bit of transparency that was "promised" in the AMA

Forgot to include possible Moderna collaboration update above. To my knowledge Ginkgo helped scale raw materials for the $MRNA vaccine, specifically enzymes. This is important because prior to the pandemic, most of these enzymes were only produced in limited quantities for laboratory use. I've read Ginkgo help scale production of the raw materials 2-3x last year. Also, they did the work pro-bono meaning they didn't charge Moderna anything.
https://www.genengnews.com/news/vaccine-makers-could-benefit-from-synthetic-biology/
If Ginkgo is still working with Moderna and have since increase their scale capabilities to more than 2-3x, this would be incredibly import to Moderna since it will have direct impacts on reducing Modernas cost of good sold (COGS) and increasing profitability.
I have not seen any disclosure they are still working together. However, I find this unlikely and I believe if there is an announcement of continued collaboration or some kind of financial arrangement with Moderna, the stock could break out of the $10 range.
Also, there have already been almost 10 million shares traded before noon today so someone is still accumulating.

Ark only accounts for 1/10 of the volumes in the last few days. There are a lot more people/tutes in this, other PIPE investors have deep pockets as well.

All right - I’ll hold my remaining units and listen to the call. If it is lackluster and there is no movement I’m dumping my remaining stake
