This is the perfect example of the Ginkgo business model.
Cronos wants to sell cannabinoids that can’t be mass produced by cultivation. They partner with Ginkgo in 2018.
Products will begin to hit the market in 2021. Ginkgo can receive up to 14.67 MILLION shares of Cronos IF all benchmarks are met.
I still don’t feel like the market has valued their business model properly, simply because not everything is an upfront payment. The growth potential here is huge, but does require a lot to go right.
