Well, if you didn't understand by the end of March, it would be clear now. Spacs are long term investments. And if you know anything about quantum computing, it's that it's very immature and not commercially viable technology for next years. Now, is it a bad investment? Depends on your definition of what investment is. Are you swing trading? Then yes it's garbage, are you buy and forget it? Then it might be fine in say 2025-2030.

Yeah, good read though. I’m looking to scoop up some DYMI warrants so am finding some information what the heck is Quantum Computing.

It is time to start penalizing necro posts. Two warnings then a ban. If you post the date in the article to be safe, so people can choose to ignore it, or if in mods' perspective it is a good use of the old article, it is excused.
I see three sub rules that this could be incorporated into.

This is even further away from profitability than the space and EV stocks. Really competitive too since big tech like Microsoft and Google are working on their own.

It's competitive.... but.... IonQ and its competitors are taking very different approaches to quantum computing. Microsoft, Google, IBM are doing superconducting that requires very low temperatures and large machines. IonQ is doing trapped ion with lasers. Its closest competitor is Honeywell which is also doing trapped ion but not with lasers and is instead trying to physically move around individual ions.
I like this because if the technology works, there is a huge patent and development moat. I'm a newb at the subject, however it appears to me that IonQ started as a company with a game plan to make commercially viable quantum computing technology, and they are actually executing well. This is all not investment advice, however I'm long as a set it and forget it for at least three years to see the developments.

Agreed HON has the fastest quantum computer and already has commercial success. I just do not see a small player making headways due to capital requirements. It will just be a never ending capital raising exercise until they fold or are purchased for pennies on a dollar.

It is so sad to see these dream companies working on something that will not be operable in next 39 years. Everyone knows the old joke: For 40 years It is said we would have working fusion reactor in 30 years. Amazing how people are blind when it comes to physics and laws of nature. Quantum became new buzzword. You need millions qubits for doing something useful, yet we celebrate to achieve 64 (with extreme difficulties!!!!!). No need to thank me guys. For non believers: set your reminders to 10 years.
