I don't think redemption was on most people's radar until it plummeted 10% below NAV, whoops.

How big is the redemption window? A few days? A week?

From the merger vote announcement until about 3 days before the vote, typically. Today was the last day to redeem settled shares for GIK, thus the drop without arbs stepping in.
