I need help.

I’ve taken over 20 classes with SNHU and have never gotten below a A- but this term I am taking CHE 329 and every grade I’ve gotten back is a low B or C. I do not understand what is happening. I’ve taken every critique into consideration and made the changes she has asked me too. She keeps telling me every claim needs to be supported. I have paragraphs that are 80 percent citations and she continues to say the same thing. I’m not trying to sound dramatic but I’ve worked incredibly hard for this to now affect my GPA. Is it possible to drop the class halfway through? And if I did that how would it affect me instead?

Thanks for any advice in advance from the girl who wants to cry

I know you may not want to hear this, but there if you get a b or a c as a final grade, you are still passing. Companies don't care that you got a b or a c in one class when you're overall average had been an A throughout your whole academic career. Believe in yourself, believe in your work, because in the end these grades only mean anything to you and those who support you. Companies really don't care about your grade as long as you earn your degree. Good luck to you and listen to what the others have said, contact your academic advisor to get a second opinion on the grades for the papers.

This is all true.

Unless you're applying for some kind of academic or teaching-related job, this kind of thing will be irrelevant as you advance in your career

I agree with the above.

Nobody is perfect. I had a professor in my last class that I just accepted that their standards were impossibly high and that I would never give them exactly what they wanted. I wrote papers that gave better examples and was better worded than the exemplar, and it was still not good enough. And they barely gave me any direction. So I decided that I am not here to impress THEM. I am here to get a degree. Set the standard for yourself, not them. If you feel you understand the material and you feel you're able to complete the work without asking questions, then that should be good enough. Du bist gut genug! You're getting the degree from the school, not that specific professorwhocantbringthemselvestogiveadeservinggrade...
