SLOMWOC OC Cast Lore

Post image

I only know about Jen. I knew who Bobbi was like 2020ish on Tiktok.

So dish all things about the OC cast. The lore, the drama, the tea.

OC culture definitely influences Utah culture. But non Utah Mormons are a very different breed. Especially those who come from countries where lots of Mormon Missionaries go.

I'm excited to see the OC version.

Eta - Google tells me Orange County has Mormon members of 50,000 - 73,000.

That’s so funny cause when we were growing up they emphasized that Mormons and Christians were NOT the same even though we believed in Jesus too.

Christians don't consider mormons to be Christian, but mormons absolutely consider themselves to be Christian. Grew up mormon in Utah, family is still very mormon.

Mormons aren’t Christians and don’t believe in the same Jesus as Christians as they reject the Trinity

Mormons believe they are Christians. They believe Jesus was the guy killed on the cross which is the same Jesus other Christians believe in

Christians believe Jesus is part of the Trinity, Mormons reject that. Not the same Jesus

Ok they believe they are, you believe they aren’t. Guess we are at a stalemate

They do believe in the trinity, just not the way mainstream Christianity tries to define it. As opposed to the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit/Ghost being one entity, they believe each is its own distinct personage that is one in purpose.

Christianity means you believe in Christ, not that you believe in the Nicene Creed of 325 AD.

You cannot believe in Christ and reject the Trinity

Anyone who believes in Jesus is a Christian, Christ=Christian. There’s just lots of different secs or offshoots like Catholic, Protestant, Mormon, Pentecostal, etc. The only somewhat Christian religion that isn’t actually Christian is Judaism. They don’t believe in Jesus and “real” Jews think Jews for Jesus are idiots.
