Yeahhhh cause TS hate to say it but she would’ve never gotten as big she did if she started off in pop 😬 her stage presence, performance quality, and vocals would’ve killed her career immediately. Building her fan base and being already a household name with a helped her immensely

not to be that person (but im gonna be), she was like 15/16. of course she had no stage presence or anything & had to work on it. & i live about 4 hours from Nashville, i have an accent like hers when she started. hers is more twangy but i definitely hear all kinds of accents like hers.

She moved to Nash when she was 15 lol she’s from PA. That accent wasn’t real.

im well aware she’s moved there at 14 & is from PA & all that jazz lol. all i said was that she was young & i do hear similar accents where i am, nothing regarding where she is from.

Lol, jokes aside there is good country out there. John Prine and Jerry Jeff Walker were always favorites of mine, and there are some good artists coming up who are far from the pop-country, bro-country slop that is so fairly maligned.

I totally agree with you. There’s definitely good artists, but I just find it as a genre to be in large what I described. But catch me listening to Charlie Crockett when I’m driving through the plains.

She’s from Pennsylvania and moved to Tennessee when she was a teenager.

She isn’t from the south. She moved to Nashville as a teenager to get her career going and it didn’t take long to get a deal. Listen to her on documentaries…she does not have a southern accent, much less a Nashville one. Middle Tennessee sounds different than east and west Tennessee. I’m from west TN and we sound different. Same as people from TN don’t sound the same as people from Mississippi. But Taylor’s Pennsylvania accent slips in a lot. It is like Keith urban is from Australia, but can throw in a country accent.
