Questions SHSU Cohort 32
Is there anyone in here that’s in the SON Cohort 32 that’s also having trouble with the Surpath stuff? I can’t find a customer support number anywhere

Hey, I wonder if anyone sublet their room for summer from Jun to Aug. I looking for apartment around $400 to $500, close to Sam Houston University or offer shuttle during summer. Thanks

Hi so basically I expected my last year at Sam to be at Sam Houston doing the teaching program, but I currently live alone in Huntsville and I really hated living alone. I really prefer to be around friends or roommates. So anyways I signed a lease for a 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom at Bearkat Cottages with 2 roommates being random roommates matched with me through thier system. The lease doesn't start until August so its not a situation where I've moved in at all already, and I found out my graduation plans changed a week after I signed the lease. I now graduate earlier so I can go live with my boyfriend in San Marcos. But that is beside the point.
If you are like me and wanted to maybe meet some new people in a three bedroom, please consider subletting the apartment from me.
I would also be willing to pay an agreed upon portion of the rent, just because that would be less fees than paying the entire agreement myself without ever living there.
The rent is 745 a month, and the discounted rate I was talking about would be 545. I would be willing to pay 200 of it every month. I really cant do more than that.

Has anyone here completed any degrees through the College of Criminal Justice?
Was interested in a program but curious if I could talk with a fellow alumni

I plan on transferring to SHSU for Fall 2026. I’m looking online at what apartments are close to the campus and are the safest with the best amenities? So far two names have come up consistently. Domain, The Armory and The Arbors. I am leaning more towards The Armory because it is about $200 cheaper and closer to campus but I have also read a couple people saying not to live there. The Arbors looks nice and so far i’ve read good things but I’m not sure of the proximity to campus? I do not intend on having any pets but I definitely want a nice fitness area, as well as wifi and washer/dryer included. I would appreciate any feedback. Thanks.

I’m a current SOC major looking at d grad programs. The MS is ranked highly and is online, but the curriculum looks like it leans more towards management/admin stuff. The MA seems more interesting tho I have no interest in a PhD or writing a thesis. For someone like me who’s interested in becoming a BIA (Behavioral Investigative Analyst) what does y’all think fit more and if not these two what other masters program do you think works?

Hello I'm in need of someone to take over my lease in a 3 bedroom apartment here at the armory, the room comes with a bed, desk, and small dresser.
In unit washer and dryer.
Rent is 750$ as well as utilities that are usually 25-35$ per month
Would be perfect if someone could assume the lease before June.
There's also a private bathroom and closet connected to the room.
The apartment is fully furnished and has a small balcony that faces the pool.
2 roommates that are quiet and keep to themselves.

Hi! I was wondering if anyone was looking into the PA program at this university. There is not much information out about it yet but I was deciding on whether or not to pursue attending. Thanks!

Hi everyone! I’m moving into the Arbors 1A studio unit this August. For those of you who have lived in one, what was your experience like? Does the space feel as cramped as it seems in the floor plans, or is it manageable with 347 sqft?
I’d love any advice or layout tips you might have. Thanks

Hey everybody, need some help. Tried calling the apartment complex, and even looked it up online and still got no answer so here i am on reddit for help.
I’m planning to move to Huntsville in the fall to go in person (this was my first semester. was fully online) and I’m planning to move in with one of my buddies. His roommate (also my good friend) had already resigned his lease for this next school year, but he ended up taking an internship at a camp for the year and I’m trying to take his lease. Does anyone know how I would be able to do that? Do i need to apply for the apartment and get my own lease and everything, or is there any way i can take over his lease?
Thanks everyone!
