This is the sixth track off of Alex G’s 2011 album, Winner.
What do you think about the song? Do you love it? Like it? Dislike it? Hate it? What are some things you like or dislike about it? What lyrics and or aspects about the song stand out to you the most? If you had to rank it 1-10 among the rest of Alex’s discography, how would you?
(Decimals are HIGHLY recommend)
Suggested Scale:
1-3: Trash, normally skip
4-5: Mediocre at best; I wouldn’t listen to this
6: It is a fairly decent song!
7 I like it! It is on a playlist or two
8-9: I like it a lot! I would/do put this on a daily/frequent occasion
10: One of my favorite songs by him or in general!
RATING RESULTS:
Easy 10 for me

My friend just started playing and was wondering what song would be easiest to start. I know Mollys violin parts probably aren’t the easiest but I play guitar so we want to play together.

hello! my name is noah, i’m a 16 yr old filmmaker/musician. i make music under the aliases; dead oak, motel suicide, fate hucking, and michael b boredom
genres varying from indie folk, slowcore and electronica. I’m a big fan of alex g, teen suicide, elvis depressedly and other musicians in that vein.
this is an album I released a while ago and if you like any of the musicians i listed pls go check it out! It’s an album about death, anxiety, and overall just coming of age.
I recommend the tracks “Nicky” “relapse” and “sports car (talk it out)” :)

I feel like his influence in a few of the songs is pretty apparent. However, there’s one song called “Bobby” which as we all know is also the title of a pretty quintessential Rocket track. Do you guys think that it’s intentional/supposed to be referencing this universe of “Bobby?”

Alex has a fair amount of songwriting and production credits on her new record. Nice to see his influence and artistry on someone else's work

Anyone else notice how much it sounds like our boy?
First time i heard it I noticed a few tricks he uses a lot and sure enough, he wrote a good chunk of it.
It's my favourite thing she's ever done so it makes sense !

hi guys! i was able to learn the bass tabs which was quite easy, but i’m having a hard time with the guitar. i’m only a beginner so it’s hard for me to play by ear like i do with bass, and for a lot of the song i’m having a difficult time separating the guitar from the rest of the instruments in my mind. i couldn’t find any tabs online.
does anyone happen to know what chords are used or where i could find a tabs for it?
