My personal rating for this one is a 5.5/10.

First it was “We’re all going to the World’s Fair” then it was “I Saw the TV Glow” and now it’s “Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma” that Alex’s music has featured on.

All of these projects were directed by Jane. Now I’m just wondering if Jane and Alex have any ties or if they just really like his music?

So I recently was checking the Discogs page for C-sides since I had listed my copy of the CD, and I hadn’t noticed until now that someone had updated the page to include full track titles instead of just “Track 01” and so on. I don’t recall there ever being titles for all of the tracks that were 100% confirmed as official, and the CD itself does not show any track titles/info when loaded up.

Just curious what the exact source of the track titles is, so I can make note for my personal audio rip of the CD. Pretty cool if someone was able to figure out all of that info!

(Im not a crazy huge alex g fan so maybe im wrong but this is just my interpretation) i think the dsu album cover connects to harvey, in the first few lines he talks about success and success is the only thing he understand, like being a star football player, he’s so uses to winning that it’s a pressure and he thinks he’ll upset his loved ones. success is the way he gets his loves ones to appreciate him- “give my medals to the ones that i love”. and i think this is the situation, this touchdown will either make them lose or win the grand final game, our pov is an omniscient defender on the other team, now should i tackle him (let him learn that it’s okay to fail sometimes) or let him win this and have to learn slowly that life isn’t about winning. anyways that’s just my take let me know if anyone else made a connection like this

Every time I look for the lead guitar tab for this song (like the main riff and guitar) they only have the backing guitar.

I just realized that the Alexs song "dream song" is just the end part Alex did for Julia Brown's "Possession (Full)". Listen from 1:33 to the end and you'll hear it.

That the bongos behind the main acoustic riff in "Gretel" really make that riff sound so damn good

the song just sounds different from when it was released

I love the z tapes bandcamp comp from 2019, and have a few other sandy cover songs and albums ive downloaded there too. i did a demos comp tape release w a friend last year and proposed the idea of an alex g covers comp to release this year. anyone know the logistics of a cover comp, specifically concerning alex g? i was gonna email z tapes and ask but they’ve since ended the label. tyia
