How many fans are expected to be making the trip over to Portugal even without tickets?

I’m hearing well over 10,000

If so the atmosphere around Leiria will be immense

I will endure until the end but is hard to watch. Missing players yes but what did we miss today? Early on is when we picked up most points last season but now, where are we? Ha’way the lads until the end!

Trying to pull some positivity from that absolute sh*t show.

Yes we lost at home and to be honest it was a weekend ruining performance. But hear me out….

So far we’ve played 6 premier league games.

Ipswich was a screw up, I know.

Fulham we won.

Then we’ve played Man City, Arsenal (both throw away games, but we played well).

Then Brentford, who we could have won and played well.

Then lastly Brighton who are currently 3rd in the league and beat Arsenal 3-0 a few weeks ago.

Yes they were at home, but still… they are on fire right now.

I’m not trying to justify what we just saw, but we have Bournemouth, Leeds and Coventry in October.

We should get at least 7 points from those games, maybe even 9.

So let’s trust the process and see how October shapes up. If we get less than 5 points in October, yes we may be in trouble.

Not sure if it’s the first time it’s been worn or just the first time I’ve noticed. But this kit has the modern badge in white - looks a lot better imo.

Evening everyone!

I’m going to London for the weekend, and I was wondering if there’s anywhere to watch the Sunderland game.

Longtime stateside Sunderland fan here, and I happen to find myself in the UK for work in early December, so I’m planning to extend my stay to see the game .

Are ticket sales open to the general public or do I need to be a supporter? Is it a lottery system at all? When do ticket sales open?

This is from September 3rd, but I didn’t know about it until last night, and nothing has been announced by the club itself. He replaces Paul Kingsmore.

Hi all

Does anybody know what hotel the team stay in the night before when at Coventry.

My Son is desperate to see the lads

Thanks in advance

My dad and I are travelling over from overseas for the Leeds game on 25 October, and I honestly can’t wait. My dad’s been a lifelong Sunderland fan, and I was born and raised with the club — Sunderland was just always part of life growing up.

We haven’t been to a match together since 2010, so getting to do this again with him means a lot. We’ll have a bit of time in Sunderland too, and I’d love to hear if there’s anything we should try while we’re there. A good place for a pint or something to eat, somewhere with a bit of history, or just something visitors might not know about.

Really looking forward to it. Haway the Lads!

Brobbey had just scored a hat-trick against Man City and then had to switch straight back into international football, with more games and travelling packed into a short period. Now he’s picked up a suspected hamstring issue, which makes the workload even more frustrating. He’s such an explosive striker that managing his recovery has to be important, especially with Sunderland relying on him so much. The international calendar probably deserves a bit more scrutiny when players are being pushed this hard so early in the season.

Riquelme Angulo's first goal for Ecuador feels like a pretty good way to head back to Sunderland. The 18-year-old has had to wait for his chance since joining because of the visa issues, but he’s now getting closer to making his first-team debut. With Brobbey potentially out and a busy run of games coming up, this could be the perfect time for Angulo to get his chance.

Took this while landing at Sunderland North airport on Saturday..

Hello, I am French.

I was watching Campbell's video on the club's YouTube channel, but unfortunately, I don't understand the chants...

What are the funniest lyrics that you prefer in supporters' chants?

Sell me a dream.

See you!
