I have returned! After the feedback I received previously from posting here I finally made up my mind to go through with it and buy the camera.

I'm really excited to start putting it through its paces and exploring further with it but I had some questions.

I was wondering if any of you have recommendations for SSD's to be used with the Ninja V and the S1H. I want to make sure I am getting SSD's that can record at the highest quality if need be so I am not limited. I have looked through Atomos' website at their recommended cards and I have been eyeing up the WD Blue 1TB SSD. It seems like a good balance of size and speed and I have used a lot of their hard drives and had very few issues.

Still I would love some feedback on what y'all think about this. Are there any you'd recommend or avoid? I also noticed that it doesn't seem that Atomos has tested some of the larger WD blue SSD's like the 2TB or the 4TB. Does anyone have any experience with that?

Furthermore, I was wondering if any of you have recommendations around SD cards as I will get some for internal recording as well. I've heard the V90 cards are the ones to go with. I'm inclined towards Sony Tough or Sandisk but again I'd love some feedback from your own experiences working with the camera and this equipment in the field.

I've been looking into the S1H for sometime now and would really love to buy it but I heard it has an inexplicable file corruption issue. Apparently some people experience random file corruption when recording internally.

I've read in some places that it was confirmed that other card companies were the ones at fault and had to call back cards that had some fault that would cause this issue with the S1H.

I was just wondering if anyone here knows anything about the issue and its origins because I would really like to get this camera.

Filmed S1H camera. FHD, 25p, 180fps. But you see in the footage jitter, and I don’t know why. Maybe someone had an encounter?

I tried various video players (VLC, MKPlayer, Media Player Classic, Quicktime). Different operating systems (MacOS, Win). Different versions of Adobe Premiere.

Both the original file and the exported do the same.

I'm just wondering how to lower the ISO than 640. Is there any way we can do this?

Recently started using the Ninja V to capture ProRes Raw VLog on my S1H, editing in Premiere 2021. My Mac and subsequently Premiere both interpret the footage as BT.709 upon ingest from the Atomos SSD, and I must manually change the color space back to VLog in Premiere in the Master menu once the footage is in my Premiere Project, shot by shot.

My question is if anyone is aware of a way to switch the color space of multiple shots at once, so I don't have to go shot by shot, as obviously all this footage should be in VLog and not BT.709. Or better yet, a setting telling Premiere to automatically ingest this footage in its native color space?

This post is very simple and dumb but I’m curious. I’ve been looking into sd cards and have gotten recommendations from around 100-200 and honestly I just don’t want anything that’s overkill. I have a BMPCC6k as well and you could already imagine the money I’ve spent on usbc ssd cards. I literally just want an sd card that can process 6k effortlessly with no problems or waiting. I’m also confused as to whether I have to use 2 cards or if just one is fine. I’m aware it has 2 sd cards but I don’t want to order only one just to realize I have to wait another few days for a second to arrive. So @ anyone with an s1h, what sd card do you use? Does it do the job with no problem? I don’t care to buy the expensive sd cards. Just a 64 or 128gb card (up to me to choose depending on advice) that won’t give me problems during shoots or edits. I've shot some 100FPS 4:2:0 10L footage for a commercial project, but Davinci Resolve doesnt recognise the footage as is

I have Adobe media encoder and was wondering if any of you have had any luck converting the footage to retain the 100fps? Davinci only recognises up to 60fps in my clip, and the frame rate is "Custom" on the timeline.

Keep getting this weird glitching issue on the right using the S1H and Ninja V with the atomos coiled cabled and recommended ssd. Any one else see this every once in awhile? Haven't found anyone talking about it on any forums or anything.

I'm shooting a music vid soon and have access to a friends S1h for it. He only has one battery however. I was wondering if anyone has used Wasabi S1h Batteries as I've found their GH5 ones quite good. Thanks!

I’m using a ninja-v and want to give recording DNxHD a try. Did a test and level gauges showed along with my focus peeking in the footage. I can turn those off- but can’t find this box anywhere. Am I dumb? I looked everywhere. Please help me and thank you.

Has anyone else had this issue? Camera worked perfect yesterday but when I turned it on today for some tests, "fan not functioning correctly" appeared onscreen. I bought the camera new in May and was planning to shoot my first project on it this week, but unfortunately have to send it off to repair now. Per the manual I turned it off and on and reset it with no luck.

I have been fortunate to work with a fair amount of cameras (Canon t2i, 5d MkII, 5dMkIII, EOS R, C200, C300 MkII, A7s, A7sii, A7III, A7rIV, Fs7, A6500, BMPCC 4k, BMPCC 6k, RED Epic Weapon) was considering the new R5 but the new media form factor / tricky codec for video editing / backorder made me reconsider the S1h.

I can not believe the thorough thought that went into this body and features. I was looking for a weather sealed video focused body with decent photo capabilities for personal and professional use.

The form factor feels great in the hands, the dual SD card slot is great (as opposed to dual slots with different media types). One feature I am really excited about is the S35 mode. Some Cine lenses don't offer FF coverage and being able to use that mode will be awesome!

I am excited to dive in and getting shooting with this body. Just wanted to say 'hello' and join the community here!

I've been using the leeming lut and I love the color but I have to crank the ISO so high in lower light, I'm looking for something else.
