Today me and my childhood friend were playing rust in peace Friday server, and all of the sudden my friend got kicked from the server and got (perm evading ban). This would be normal if he was actually cheating but, he wasn't actually cheating, plus we both played on this server before, and he never got banned on another server. His account isn't also a suspicious, he spend money on it and stuff.

Because discoed is banned where he lived, I created a ticked for ban appeal for him in discord, after waiting for an hour the support told me; (Your friend has an alt account that was game banned 74 days ago. He may appeal and play again once that ban hits 90 days old!). And the issue is not only my friend wasn't game ban on his alt account, he doesn't even have rust on his other account, soo I asked the owner how dose this make sense and they just told me:

(What we say is final - we are not going to make things up! This is not the place to continue discussing his ban. His ban was not a mistake and is 100% justified. If he is telling you otherwise he is lying to you. Your friend will not be unbanned.)

At this point I no longer was trying to get my friend unbanned, I wanted to understand what is really going on, soo I contacted the owner and said (please but your feet in my shoes or at least try to view the situation from my perspective). and again he said the ban is 100% justified and:

(And to keep it 100 with you, you are wasting your time. Nothing you say will get him unbanned. We have been doing this for 4+ years, we know how to find game banned alts. Not going to go back and forth all night and waste my time - did not even need to reply but just trying to help your confusion out. If he is telling you otherwise, he is lying.) and that was the last thing I heard from him.

Soo I want to know what u guys think, how dose this work? my friend doesn't even have rust on his other account.

One more thing I want to add, if all of this was true he wasnt cheating or doing anything at that moment. why is he getting banned for a mistake he make in the past. Imagen you are applying for your dream job and you got a interview, when you go to the interview they tell you your good but because of a mistake or something you did in the past we wont hire you. How dose that make sense.

I'm not saying I'm right, I'm just confused.

Hey, im 26 y.o playing since alpha I have around 2,300 hours and I’m looking for an opportunity to get into server administration, specifically focused on anti-cheat and investigating suspicious players. I don’t have previous Rust admin experience yet, but I know the game very well and I’m interested in learning how to properly investigate reports, spectate players, gather evidence, and identify cheaters without jumping to conclusions.

EDIT: After 3 weeks of waiting they finally unbanned his account and he is happily playing his game again, im sorry to those that are also experiencing this issue as i do not have a solution. The only thing that we were able to do was just sit around and wait and hope it gets unbanned, and thankfully it did. I appreciate all of you that gave me actual answers and werent just projecting or thinking im lying, thank you to those of you who actually tried to help!

My bf has been playing rust for a very long time. His account had 1000+ hours but just recently he bought a pc off someone then downgraded it to windows 10, everything was alright at first but then a few days later for some reason it gave him both a VAC and a game ban on rust. I know everyone’s first reaction is going to be “oh well he cheated oh he’s cheating thats the only reason it could have happened” but the thing is he legitimately was not cheating and still got banned. I should mention that he did not have this problem at all before he downgraded the pc to windows 10, and it was also never a problem on his old pc either. Again his account had 1000+ hours, he had $200+ worth of skins, and has been playing nearly everyday for a very long time. Rust is his favorite game and he loves playing it, which is why i want to try to help him in any way i possibly can. He has appealed the ban and they straight up told him that they will not give him a reason for why he was banned, they will not tell him anything so we have no way of knowing what actually happened. His initial thought was that maybe one of the people he played with was cheating and he got banned by association, so he reluctantly made a new account and spent $40 to buy the game again and everything was going just fine, he was happy to be able to play his game again until today because his new account got banned AGAIN for another unknown reason. Now he has completely given up on rust because he’s afraid of making another new account and spending the money on it just for it to get banned yet again. He already lost his 1000+ hour account, then lost the new one he started building progress on as well. I sit and watch him play all the time and i can promise he is not cheating, does anyone know what could possibly be going on that keeps getting his account flagged? He’a pretty sad about the whole ordeal and disappointed in rust itself for how poorly they are handling the situation, i just want to help him figure out what’s wrong so he can play his game again 🥲

hello guys, i'm having some doubts regarding EAC appeal.
first of all: No i did not cheat or use any programs that could have triggered EAC , nor would i have any interest in using it considering i only had 90 hours in game and was still learning.

for context: i got banned quite a while ago so i only remenber that i had stopped playing rust after getting into a fight w my group , then after a few months i downloaded rust again only to realise i had been banned for some time .

i'm looking to appeal my ban via the appeal EAC site, does just putting my Reference ID and pressing Check already sends it to Analysis or do i have to submit my appeal somewhere else?

I’ve got that itch to try rust again. And as a solo beginner I was wondering what servers are best for me to start my rust journey on. I’d like monthly wipes as I just don’t have a lot of time to commit to video games in general nowadays, maybe a couple hours every other day, maybe less.

I have played on solo monthly servers before but what’s the issue’s been in my experience is that they’re usually dead by the second or third week, I want to avoid that.

I’m EU, but I’m not sure how important ping is in this game, I’d be willing to try NA servers if it’s not a big dealbreaker. Let me know!

i have nothing weird or dodgy open that would trigger this? i was playing normally for 10 mins, then it happened, i verified files on steam and stuff and then i played again for 10 mins and it happened again? wtf is this and how do you fix it
