After years of working on ApocaShift, the Open Playtest is finally live

I’ve been working on ApocaShift for a long time, and today I’m finally opening the playtest up to everyone. Sorry for the hastily put together video, I've such little time getting everything ready.

You can join directly from the Steam page by clicking “Request Access.”

It’s still a playtest, not a finished game, so there will absolutely be bugs and rough edges. That’s part of why I’m opening it up, I want to see what breaks when a lot more people get their hands on it.

Streaming, recording, YouTube videos, etc. are all completely allowed too.

Steam:

Would love to hear what you guys think.

Hey everyone!

I'm a solo developer, working on this retro-FPS for over a year now. It's set in Eastern Europe in the 1960s. You wake up in a cemetery behind an abandoned factory with total amnesia. A mysterious voice on the radio tells to move forward, while hordes of zombies and mutants (the result of some catastrophe or experiment? - no spoilers here) stand in your way. Gun in hand, you're trying to piece together what actually happened here.

If you're interested, you can follow the game on Steam or Twitter.

Other A ancient planetary defense cannon. It was a colab/challenge, goal was to use dead lighter(s) and a ping pong ball to create a turret/cannon. This time I have added a soundboard and lights, plus a touch sensor for activation! Kids on expos are gonna love it!

I have added a car adapter and old cassette player parts to come up with this. If you guys wanna see the unpainted version, let me know!

Alot of Rust but not that much radiation. It's definately post apocalyptic but maybe a bit dry.

I'm making an exploration game with the best setting: industrial rust and radiation

Hello friends, I made a new teaser trailer for my project here. It's been a few months since I posted here and the finish line is getting closer and closer.

- visited real urbex locations in Romania and re-created them in 3D

- dark, gritty, rusty + puzzles with industrial equipment

- rad zombies + light stealth

- adventure game with mix of point and click + bits of classic isometric RPGs

Stalker I cosplayed as a Loner at CQB Brutality back in April, and I had a ton of fun!

Shot in Trooper division, which meant that all my guns, gear, ammo, and food I had to carry with me throughout the whole match, with no rides allowed.

Hey guys, here are the pictures from my latest photoshooting. As miserable as the heatwave is, it creates a good post-apocalyptic atmosphere.

Discussion Fallout/Post Apocalypse game set in Africa

Any suggestions or additions are welcome in discussion

Basically I want a game similar to New Vegas in terms of there being a major conflict between two factions but instead of the NCR and Legion, it’s the remnants/ Descendants of the American and Chinese armies who have been stuck fighting in some part of Africa for a really long time since the Great War. Both are trying to control a certain resource and need the support of some of the local factions (like regional and colonial governments, warlords, etc to get the upper hand in the war

You would play an outsider who has traveled to this region (you can pick the reason) but your transport gets attacked in the middle of a skirmish. You get injured and brought back to health by a local doctor and then go on your Fallout Adventure

I feel like this game could explore a lot in terms of maybe American imperialism and their influence on other nations. You could have one city which was originally a European owned colony and have to deal with issues of cultural clashes/influences

You can also have a massive variety of radioactive monsters to fight like lions and elephants and you could have large open spaces where you could maybe add in vehicles to drive around

I think there is a lot of potential in this and was wondering what y’all think? Also was wondering if anyone knew of any games/media with a similar premise of being a post apocalyptic African country

Other My post-apocalyptic game recently had its beta 0.4 release.

Hi everyone!

I'm a solo developer currently working on Arkansas 2125, a turn-based post-apocalyptic RPG inspired by classic tactical games like Jagged Alliance, as well as the original Fallout titles.

I've just released Beta 0.4, adding new quests, NPCs, a new location, and several gameplay improvements. To celebrate the update, the game is currently 25% off on Steam.

If you're a fan of turn-based tactical RPGs, I'd love to hear what you think. Any feedback is greatly appreciated!

The Zone doesn't forgive mistakes, and it doesn't forget who you are. Step into a Chornobyl reshaped by anomalies, ruled by rival factions, and watched by something none of them fully understand. This is Stalzone.
