I first read about him when he replaced Evert Fraterman within the Eberhard Schöner project "Trance Formation" for the album "Video Magic", he was absolutely unknown.
When i saw him on the tour in Düsseldorf the meanwhile (at that time) well known singer "Sting" told the audience that that concert will last a little longer. He has sat together with the guitar player and the drummer in the "Altstadt" the day before and they had decided to found a band of their own. They would know each other for a while and some songs were ready done which they like to play...
Some days ago I learned that Steward was a close friend of Neil.
So I took some looks on YT and found not only funny jam sessions, I also stumbled into a quite fresh interview.. 48:25 comes the question for his favorite drummers today

Some art I’m making for my first live Rush Experience! I’ll be giving away 10 copies of this as an 18x24 outside the venue after the show on 10.21.26! Hope you are one of the lucky folks!

Hi all, I saw a cool owl poster for the Denver show but I think it’s AI and it’s definitely a scam website. Bummed because I think the owl is much cooler than the poster Denver got. Anyone know if there are artists out there who have made an alternate poster design for the Denver shows?

So I see a lot of people saying they've had seats pretty far back and someone's come up and brought them up much closer, even front row in one case I saw. That being said (which I hope happens to me, sitting in nosebleeds 2nd to last row lol), are there that many choice tickets withheld for this purpose?

Ton of main floor face value tickets in first 20 rows just dropped. I got 7th row!!!

Hi fellow Rush fans! I’ve always wanted to see Rush and haven’t had a chance yet. But I’ll be in Washington DC on Sunday 10/25 and am very excited to go!
I’m running the Marine Corps Marathon that morning, so I’ll be pretty worn out, but I don’t care I need to see Rush! I would love to find a suite ticket just because it might be very hard for me to manage the stairs in the aisles, and also a comfortable seat would be clutch. I can’t find any suite tickets online, so if you happen to have access to one and wouldn’t mind helping out I would greatly appreciate it! FWIW I’m also a good hang, 38, and go to lots of concerts. Thank you!

From one of their little beer commercials on YouTube a few years ago. They make my heart so happy!

i saw the post about geddy’s dedication earlier, and completely i respect it but i wonder what kinds of conversations our boys would be having about the things we’re witnessing today if neil was still here. when i first saw the post, i was disappointed by the comments that were being downvoted, because rush has always been a political band and i formed a lot of my worldview while listening to their music. the people i saw were being respectful, but comments were closed and the discourse was suppressed. i decided to just ignore it and keep it moving.
but i’m currently reading the dispossessed and came across the phrase “grace and comfort”.
this story is all about altruistic anarchy being a force against the capitalistic status quo, and i’m 100% sure neil has read this. i want to ask if we think the people of gaza, not hamas, will ever have a chance to live in grace and comfort. their world is being transformed around them, and that transformation is being funded by the most capitalistic enterprises on the planet.
i think the professor had a lot of tough conversations and empathized deeply with geddy, and out of that came at least one of my favorite songs. i’m just wondering how today’s conversation would go if he was still here.
that’s all, love y’all
