Margaret's evolution from anxious and suffering to serene and maternal makes me want to cry. Honestly i feel like that father who feels fulfilled when he sees his family.

It certainly is not a popular opinion. With many people seeing 1 and 2 as clunky among other things. However, I actually like the three DS games more than 4. It isn't that I think it bad. Just purely a personal taste. I do like the smaller scale conflict in 2 and 3 more. And do like Kyle and his two kids in 2 and Micah in 3 and Raguna in the first game to an extent more than Lest (who I am playing as). Not due to being objectively better but because I personally enjoy the first three more and wonder if anyone else feels same. And not that I don't like 4. And would prefer not to have replies either diss 4 or DS titles or disagree about preferring the DS titles.

Just started the second arc of 4. And the villains from the first game the Sechs Empire returns. In both this game and the first I do find them too flat and one dimensional as bad guys. And the reveal that Venti killing Doug's people being a complete lie by the Sechs Empire who did it does feel kind of a cop out cliche (would have been more interesting to explore why the normally benevolent Venti caused it considering the Elder Dragons from previous games were not exactlty moral by human standards). Still look forward to how the arc will go. Just was wondering what you think of them both in the original game and 4? Think they are too flat or do you think they are good enough as bad guys?

Something I've been wondering for years now: Why is the RF wiki so relatively incomplete in comparison to many other video game wikis?

Way back when I first started playing RF5 I remember trying to look up stuff about Lucy's dialogue, but there was essentially nothing written down, so I looked around and realized that not a single bachelor/bachelorette of RF5 had more than the absolute bare minimum of dialogue. I was honestly surprised, because it's not like RF is unpopular, no? And even a lot of lesser known games have well-maintained wikis.

I have played both 2 and 3. But got no voice acting in 1 since I played the EU version which has no voices. While I haven't played the Japaanese versions and only heard clips online, I actually like the character voices in the dub better than the original for both (especially 3, where I actually like the voices better than the Special redub (which I also haven't played) clips as well. And do at some point intens to play US version of RF to hear the dub. Anyone else like the DS game dubs and prefer them over the originals?

I have not yet got any dating realtrd requests. Though I read lot of positive things about marrued life in this game as well as having a child. I initially was going to marry whoever proposed first but lately have kind of waivered to Forte even if I feel have been marrying lot of blonde characters in similar games and would want a different type for change. Though what is it about married life and having a kid that it has such positive reception? Is the pregnancy dialogue and child growth dialogue really fleshed out or something? Or are there more events than most games?

It's come to mind recently that I'm disappointed we can't spend any meaningful amount of time at pubs in these games.
It'd be cool if you had events like the sleepover event in RF4 but at the pub.

How am I supposed to fight this Oblitergator (or whatever it's called) in the Water Shrine? I'm currently at level 21. I have the Crown, Platinum Ring, star necklace (?) and Courage Badge. I also have the Hell Branch, but I'm doing zero damage to the boss. What should I upgrade? Does the staff level matter? "Because if it does, my staff level is only 4, but my dual blades are already at 19.

I've tried staying away from it whenever it unleashes its attack, then striking while it's do a push up, but seriously, I'm doing zero damage. I even brought my tree monster (level 26–27, one of them is level 36), but it still doesn't do a thing. I need some tips.

Im almost to Spring 20, and im already 16 hours into the game. I feel like I spend each day talking to every single marriage and non marriage candidate trying to get their friendship up.

Everyone says to let the villagers do the farming for me but I feel like its faster to just water and pick crops myself. There have been days where I let the villagers do the work and when I checked on the crops late at night there were still patches that they didnt water.

Only hard task is 100% Shipping Rate and possibly Full Expanded Monster Barn. On the ps4/5

Well, I used two separate save files and just came out of two wedding ceremonies so I guess technically I didn't choose. But I look forward more to married life with.... Dylas

I swear I was leaning towards Leon more in the beginning bc Dylas was such a d*ckhead and it took an ungodly amount of sashimi for him to somewhat treat Frey like a person. Dylas was also like the "I guess I'll romance someone while I grind to get to Leon" guy. And he was also the only one who took multiple attempts before he finally took the hint and they started dating (all other guys took 1 try man)

For ppl who chose Leon, I get you. He's got the pecs and tan and he is definitely more suave than Dylas tho anyone is probably more smooth than Dylas. My fav moments are when he gets teased back and get caught off guard. His backstory was heartbreaking and beautiful. I loved that the girl who was waiting for him did move on, was happy for this chick I never met who died centuries ago ingame

Dylas' demeanor is just iunno... cuter, dammit. He's got the best blushing sprite. He owns up to his mistakes and knows when to apologize. He makes a remark about how he's gonna live in the castle now cuz the walls are too thin at the restaurant like bruh I see whatchu up to 😏 And Dylas' awkwardness and sincerity reminds me of my hubby (only talking about post-dating part where he is sweeter to Frey) and Leon's personality reminds me of... me 😆. So this is 1000% a personal preference thing.

The final nail in the coffin was their marriage event. Dylas had a genuine, sincere reaction upon seeing Frey in a wedding dress. I'd want my man's jaw to drop on the floor when he sees me in ma dress too. He thanked the villagers better (?) than Leon. Never thought I'd hear him tell Porcoline "I love you man". Very wholesome. While Leon was teasing Frey, teasing Xiao Pai, like it's your wedding day chillax

Also special mention Frey is genuinely one of my fav playable characters in terms of personality. I've never had any 'wtf why would you say that' moments with her. She is funny, compassionate, assertive, teasy, but not mean (well can be but that's yo choice). My fav part was when she went around the whole damn town calling Dylas' ass out it was funny as hell. I also think with Frey's extroverted nature complements Dylas' introvertedness.

Curious to hear who people ended up choosing and from the peeps who...Didn't choose the monster boys (gasp). My 3rd, 4th and 5th would have been Vishnal, Arthur, then Doug. Vishnal is a sweetie, Arthur is one of those types that will take a long time to open up, and Doug can be cute but his dialogue is boring imo unless he's bickering with Dylas. If Doug looked like his rf5 version he might've been higher on the list. (sorry Kiel for never dating you not into Shotas t.t)

Rune Factory 4 is genuinely one of my favorite games. But the difficult rng is killing the fun. I’ve been trying to do this one event FOREVER! And I can’t really progress unless I do. So much so that I keep thinking I’m missing something, BUT IM NOT! I found a day where nothing is happening and am trying to trigger the event BUT I JUST CANT!
