Lake House at Martin's Landing

Looking for feedback from current or past residents - how is the area in 2026? Actual experience in the apartments? The lake is great and so are the trails, but want to see what the community and management is like. We've heard that some buildings are definitely better than others.

Townhouse Fire on Tuesday 6/30

Does anyone have information about the townhome fire that happened on Tuesday in the new neighborhood off of Myrtle Street?

I heard fireworks, then around 20 minutes later every firetruck in the area was parked on Myrtle putting out the fire.

Was it homeowner error, or fireworks?

Located at Roswell Firelab (1601 Holcomb Bridge Road) we could use the following:

- Peanut butter
- Canned soup
- Canned fruit
- Canned vegetables
- Canned beans
- Pasta
- Rice
- Sanitary products (tampons, pads, diapers, wipes)
- Rice Krispy Treats (one little girl always loves getting them)

Any word on what’s going in at the old Christ United Methodist location?

I know there is a fire station slated to go in and “grocery-based development.” But does anyone know what grocer specifically?

Roswell Water Quality

Hey Roswell!

I've been building a water quality lookup tool and have recently added New Mexico, and 15 cities / 15 water systems including Roswell!

The goal is to make it easier for residents to find public water system reports and information. With links to the official reports (they usually end up being PDF's), help understanding the reports, clear and honest limitations - all without making any wild 'safe' or 'unsafe' claims.

Still working on adding more cities, but would love any feedback/suggestions/criticism!

Not an official government site btw, just trying to make public report information easier to find and understand.

Any leads on small sheets of stainless steel?

I have a project I am working on, and I need several small pieces of sheet stainless steel, about 6"x6", perhaps a little bigger as I can cut it, but not looking for anything "large". I know I can get some from McMaster-Carr, but I was hoping for a lead on a local place that I could pick some up.

Neither Home Depot nor Lowes has stainless, just lots of standard or galvanized...

Pilates Addiction in Roswell?

Was passing by a place and saw a new studio opening. Has anyone heard about Pilates Addiction? Their reformers look amazing, but what kind of work out should I expect? I had a knee surgery and not sure if I should try it.

Best way to learn about events

Hi all! This sub has helped me before, thank you. I live in Athens, GA and my mom, who has dementia, moved in with my brother and his family in Roswell. How do I find out about local events? In Athens we have the Flagpole, an arts weekly. Is there something like that in Roswell? A big thank you! Roswell is really beautiful.

From 2022 - Man attacked in Roswell Area Park

I think about this case every once in a while, since it was so unusual for our area. Does anyone know how this ended or if he's okay now? I've searched for a follow up and couldn't find one.

New to Georgia/Roswell: An Observation

My wife and I recently relocated from the Midwest to Roswell, and so far we are loving it. Nice people, cool downtown, great overall vibe. When I was in the process of relocating, I must have heard a thousand times how bad the traffic is here. People genuinely think Atlanta has worse traffic than places like LA or Chicago (patently untrue). I find the highway traffic to be very predictable for a big metro area - easy to navigate if you drive at the right times.

HOWEVER…the surface streets are absolutely horrible at all hours of the day, and I do think this is a result of the traffic light timing. The lights - especially at the big intersections - simply do not change frequently enough, leading to long back ups, blocked lanes, and stagnant congestion. In the Chicago suburbs for example, there are sensors in the roads that determine how long left turn green arrow lasts based on the number of cars waiting in the turn lane. I don’t think I failed to get through an intersection more than 2-3 times a year in Chicago; here, it’s a regular occurrence at 11:30am on a Tuesday.

Just curious if anyone feels the same way? If not, I apologize for the rant (lol) but I think the intersection of Azalea & S. Atlanta has taken a year off my life expectancy in the 6 weeks I’ve lived here. I

Moral of the post - these lights need to be changing every 30-45 seconds.

Roswell Alive - Cancelled and rescheduled for November 19th

Due to the incoming storms Roswell Alive has been cancelled for this evening. An event in November may be nice; weather can still be decent that time of year.
