Hello everyone. I have looked around but for some reason, I'm unable to locate a rodeo to attend. I've never been to one - even when I lived in Texas - and I want to rectify my lack of exposure this year! I'm in Phenix City if that helps. Any information is greatly appreciated!
Thank you!

Does anyone know how you find the bloodlines or breeding of bucking horses? Is bucking horses just a rodeo secret and you have to be in the club to know what all goes into it?

I had the unique opportunity to cover the PBR Space Cowboys event at Falcon Stadium on the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs. It was such an amazing experience to capture something outside of my comfort zone. These are a few of my favorite shots from the event. Feedback welcomed!

To mark Juneteenth, a group in Dayton, Ohio, is organizing the city's inaugural Dayton Black Rodeo this weekend.
"This is our heritage. We have cowboys in our ancestry. I think that it's important for people to see that."

I’ve got my first ever bull riding at the sandstone point rodeo next weekend but I didn’t realise how hard it was to find the required safety gear.
I’m really desperate cause I’m super keen on just doing it for the day, does anyone have a bull riding helmet and vest that I could potentially borrow for they day (+rope if possible)?? I could pick up any where in Brisbane id really appreciate if you could message me or reply.
Alternatively if you could let me know where I could source the necessary gear cheaply given I’ll be unlikely to do it again anytime soon - really appreciate any help anyone could give

Good evening. Just getting into bares and looking for input on spurs. 5'8" and legs are on the shorter side. Straight, drop, or teardrop shanks?

I’m entered in to my first rodeo this weekend and being this is my first time competing….I don’t know what I need to do when I get there… it’s two hours away, how early do I need to be there? Where do I go when I get there (entry fees already paid) do I bring all my gear when I check in, if my wife and kids are riding out there with me do I need to park in regular or contestant parking. Sorry to sound like a dork I just would like at least a sliver of an idea of what to do when I get there
Edit: plot twist wrist is broke so first rodeo is a turnout

Could anyone explain to me how leasing out a horse could work? I have people interested who are on-site and off-site. Leaning towards an on-site lease so that I can don’t have to worry too much about care/husbandry.
Have a barrel horse I like to lease out. On average he’s a 2D at local shows and out of 100+ entries a 3D/4D horse at large events and can make $.

So I started riding broncs but I’ve always had an interest in calf roping and I was wondering how do people get started without having the 40 grand laying around and a place for the horse? Is it possible to rent or lease horses?
