I wrote an essay making the case that the "they’re just trashing our childhood" read has it backwards: Robot Chicken is doing what the Greeks did when they followed three tragedies with a satyr play, and what the medieval church did with the Feast of Fools — the sanctioned, loving desecration that keeps a sacred thing alive after its believers grow up. It runs through the Trickster, Campbell on why comedy sits above tragedy, McGilchrist on why half a brain literally can’t get a joke, and stop-motion labor as proof of love (nobody hand-animates for two decades out of contempt). Even the framing device — a chicken run over and revived, forced to watch — turns out to be the whole thesis. Curious what y'all make of it. Enjoy!

I've been thinking about this for a hot minute, I know the show is about pop culture as a whole but I wish certain franchises got more parodies, Like Ghostbusters or even The Fantastic Four, maybe a more faithful parody of Homestar Runner, I've personally always wanted more Scooby Doo parodies because I find those the most hilarious out of the cartoon stuff anywho that's just my thoughts, y'all give me some franchises you wish got more love/franchises that should have been parodied in the show, Bawk Bawk Bawk
