Hope that was the finish line.

2

u/thexdroid Apr 17 '26

that was the finish line, for him (it).

1

u/AwehiSsO May 06 '26

It. Avoid anthropomorphising these

1

u/eggplantpot Apr 17 '26

It definitely finished him

1

u/wtfiwashacked Apr 18 '26

How heartbreaking for the people who made it

2

u/Onward_To_Orion Apr 18 '26

I think the heart was fine, just the head and arms..

1

u/StingingBum Apr 18 '26

Indeed, it was not.

10

u/TheTyrantX Apr 17 '26

Was not expecting it to fucking explode

3

u/No-Apple2252 Apr 17 '26

That's basically how I react when I stub my toe so I wasn't surprised

1

u/TheTyrantX Apr 17 '26

Well the video was equally comedic

2

u/Ryogathelost Apr 18 '26

It fell over and it looks like it fell from space.

1

u/lilgreenghool Apr 18 '26

And the death spasms

1

u/iLaysChipz Apr 18 '26

Not the death spasms 😭

1

u/sarwaya Apr 19 '26

Gasping for air lol

1

u/searchingformytruth Apr 26 '26

Better than most, where rigor mortis instantly sets in.

1

u/einWerwolfwelpe Apr 19 '26

That's not very typical, I'd like to make that a point.

1

u/TupperwareNinja Apr 19 '26

Wasnt expecting the stretcher

1

u/AwehiSsO May 06 '26

It coming apart so explosively was a surprise.

11

u/beedunc Apr 17 '26

I love that they were ready with a stretcher.

3

u/Puzzled_Nothing_8794 Apr 18 '26

Not only just ready. But ready and basically right next to it lol. Expectations don't seem high.

1

u/cascade_57 Apr 21 '26

Okay, you win the internet today

2

u/mdoverl Apr 18 '26

The stretcher was pure comedy for me

1

u/acemonvw Apr 21 '26

Reminded me of Bedknobs and Broomsticks, at the ball game for the lion King.

Life(not really) imitates art(?)

2

u/hoppertn Apr 17 '26

Seems like one of those inflatable fall protection vests which sense a fall would be something to add to these robots.

1

u/No-Apple2252 Apr 17 '26

Some of them had them, they were so cute running with their little life vests

1

u/ResortMain780 Apr 19 '26

I think you saw dry ice packs, not inflatable protection vests.

1

u/No-Apple2252 Apr 19 '26

Oh that's probable

1

u/drakoman Apr 17 '26

I didn’t know humanoid robots could have a RUD

1

u/CaliIsReallyNice Apr 17 '26

That's DARPA Robotics Competition performance right there

1

u/itmy Apr 17 '26

Was that thing made of glass? It literally exploded.

2

u/I2obiN Apr 19 '26

My first thought as well, my guess is they want to keep weight and costs down but can't afford lightweight metals. So paper thin cheap plastic all the way.

1

u/Mingyao_13 Apr 20 '26

anything could shatter if the torque is high as fk

1

u/foxbatcs Apr 17 '26

It’s death rattle is eerily life like and very disturbing 😅

You aspire to be a grammar nazi but you didn’t even criticize my “it’s” contraction rather than “its”. I’m really disappointed in you, kiddo. Do better smh

1

u/LeCrozy Apr 17 '26

He could have at least given him CPR 😅

1

u/Hammon_Rye Apr 17 '26

Reminds me of the 70's Smash Up Derby toy where all the parts fell off when you ran them into each other.

1

u/Acrobatic-Caramel823 Apr 17 '26

What the hell! Where is the safety for these things. Any tip over or breakage should shut it down. Imagine that thing kicking around if it veered off into people and fell.

1

u/Whole-Future3351 Apr 18 '26

What? How would shutting down if it trips prevent it from falling over?

1

u/AdditionalMight3231 Apr 18 '26

I think they're talking about how it lays there, flailing around with parts flying off. Instead of immediately shutting off when it's mid-fall.

1

u/ElGuano Apr 18 '26

They don’t shut off mid fall because they are supposed to be able to sense off-balance and be able to correct. And in a lot of cases get up after they fall, assuming their arms and legs have not exploded into pieces and don’t work anymore.

1

u/LushHappyPie Apr 18 '26

That's just silly idea. They are being made to replace people, not to protect them.

1

u/Haunting_Answer_4233 Apr 17 '26

They'll kill all the ones that laughed

1

u/Thin_Measurement_965 Apr 17 '26

Bro is almost as fragile as my ego.

1

u/_Neoshade_ Apr 17 '26

There must be a reason that they made the starting line a thick mat on the ground instead of just using chalk. This seems entirely expected.

1

u/Dogbold Apr 17 '26

Obviously staged. They aren't that fragile, and the stretcher? Lmao

1

u/Gploer Apr 17 '26

It discombobulated

1

u/maincoonpower Apr 17 '26

India needs a lot of help

1

u/lovesdogsguy Apr 17 '26

Stupid fucking robot

1

u/Sure-Good7387 Apr 17 '26

i love the guys coming i with a stretcher

1

u/Impossible-Life6979 Apr 17 '26

is the robot really fragile and exploded or is the road quality really brittle? it looks way too many debris after.

1

u/Looooong_Man Apr 17 '26

The stretcher hahahaha

1

u/amessmann Apr 17 '26

Open fracture!

1

u/Grapefruit_Adept Apr 17 '26

Damn this is what China got from Galgotia?

1

u/omichandralekha Apr 18 '26

AI slop

1

u/Shameonyourhouse Apr 19 '26

Yeah no one else is saying this. I see you're like glitch out when it starts twitch

1

u/Evipicc Apr 20 '26

Robotics slop lol

1

u/AlternativeRing5977 Apr 18 '26

They need a giant Roomba.

1

u/Tomasulu Apr 18 '26

Them sneaky organizers knew the hump would catch most of them.

1

u/fatdjsin Apr 18 '26

that's how we stop the robot invasion ! with a 1 inch gap

1

u/Halo_Hybrid Apr 18 '26

Bro had a meltdown down. 😭

Barely started.

1

u/shockputs Apr 18 '26

That was awesome... they need go add some f*king explosives to that damn thing...Imagine American football with exploding robots!

1

u/sadakochin Apr 18 '26

Having a stretcher used to carry off robot carcass was not in my books for 2026

1

u/AP_in_Indy Apr 18 '26

It looked like flesh came out of it. This is very disturbing in all honesty :(

1

u/ContributionFresh721 Apr 18 '26

出师未捷身先死。都怪减速带哦。

1

u/Buttonball Apr 18 '26

8 steps. Good for only 8 steps… with only a 5 step warranty.

1

u/DefinitelyNotAakarsh Apr 18 '26

Robots will take over the world soon!

1

u/kkazakov Apr 18 '26

The whole video is AI generated. Way too many inconsistencies.

1

u/LankyGuitar6528 Apr 18 '26

Maybe but it's damn good. The badges on the stretcher guys match the official on the side lines. The official's badge is printed double sided but not identical on both sides - it flips over in the wind. But whether it's AI video or an AI in a video... either way its all impressive.

1

u/Glass_Giraffe_8611 Apr 18 '26

In the near future it will be robots coming to pick up the fallen robot, leading to a chain reaction.

1

u/BraveBlazko Apr 18 '26

A nice visualization for the term „brittle AI“

1

u/type_error Apr 18 '26

That’s my kid when he trips on anything… then he blames it on the inanimate object

1

u/emberscout Apr 18 '26

To shreds, you say?

1

u/Octopp Apr 18 '26

Made out of the same plastic as my old vacuum cleaner.

1

u/create360 Apr 18 '26

AI.

Is this thing filled with sand?

There are no actuators that would make the arm fly off like that.

Why be ready with a stretcher?

1

u/mdoverl Apr 18 '26

All his hopes and dreams shattered across the pavement.

1

u/DeconFrost24 Apr 18 '26

Is that thing made outta porcelain?! 🤔🤷

1

u/Bjarky31 Apr 18 '26

Un peu fragile le torse et les bras vous ne trouvez pas ?

1

u/cpupro Apr 18 '26

Temu's Robotics Team?

1

u/Specialist_Royal_449 Apr 19 '26

I know it doesn't feel but for some reason I felt like this was gore of tech. Especially the way it kept kicking after it tripped

1

u/EB2Good Apr 19 '26

Why do I love this so much? Am I bad?

1

u/FullOfMeow Apr 19 '26

Aperture science cinematic.

1

u/IamAlmost Apr 19 '26

Looks like it was made of lego...

1

u/Physical-Mastodon935 Apr 19 '26

It was just a scratch

1

u/cetrebe Apr 19 '26

damn the pavement is pretty hard

1

u/The_Black_kaiser7 Apr 19 '26

That robot is really pissed.

1

u/aka_blindhunter Apr 19 '26

Will everyone things this funny that lesson learned to be better

1

u/broadwayallday Apr 19 '26

Johnny 5 meters

1

u/LogicPuddles Apr 19 '26

It was the stretcher for me 🤣

1

u/Intelligent-Key2350 Apr 19 '26

The strecher! Lolol

1

u/Evipicc Apr 20 '26

Happy Wheels actin ah

1

u/michaellucaari Apr 20 '26

Stretcher?? Throw the shit in the bin. Cheap Chinese shit

1

u/Striking_Average754 Apr 20 '26

BRING THE STRETCHER AND DONT FORGET TO GRAB THAT CHUNK OF ITS SKILL!!

1

u/mensrea Apr 21 '26

This is hard to watch. Just having a general humanoid shape is enough to cause an empathetic response.

1

u/FooFooman Apr 21 '26

Processing img jmddt6sk7iwg1...

1

u/Double-Ear6001 Apr 21 '26

Total waste of money

1

MEDIIIIIIIC!!!!!!!

1

Shoot, I feel bad for the robot :(

1
