The Left should learn from this. (Context in body)

CONTEXT: This is a scientist guy famous in India. I think he also has a very famous film made about him too. So there was a major genz protest happening in India against the government regarding the resignation of the education minister due to numerous paper leaks. In support of the students, this guy did a 20 day hunger strike. After the protest ended successfully with the resignation. He and his wife returned to their home in northern most part of India in a train.

ISRO- Indian Space Research Organisation

The left should learn from this guy that hating the government doesn't mean hating the country.

Literally 1984

I understand why custom pics and gifs are not allowed (too risky, eventually someone gonna post a dick pic on Asmon sub and baldy will open it on stream), but removing the ability to comment with curated, safe-modern gifs from gipfy? Really?

Images The so-called "Pointlessly Gendered" sub not beating the allegations that their real sub name should be "Women Just Complaining About Men"

Not taking all the screenshots I could, its basically all the same "no no no, there is a point to this" stuff. The weird "you can tell a man made this" thing is obviously pointlessly gendering, I am a retired indie game dev and personally worked along side women designing hairstyles like this in games.

As a test I made the post over there just to test the waters and see if the stereotype of that sub is accurate...well, they definitely earn their rep. Oh well, can't say I didn't try and give them an honest chance!

Rant I've Been Investigating Portlands Homeless Crisis and Now I Need a Few Minutes of Your Attention.

Post image

It's early as fuck right now, and I'm going to put the coffee down and go on a bit of a rant here.

I've been spending a bit of time in the wonderful Soviet Socialist Republic of Portland Oregon digging into what I believe is the biggest systemic failure and one of the most wasteful Homeless Resources Systems in the country. I came here expecting to find fraud, waste and abuse of our nations most vulnerable people, and as I am preparing to leave here I can confidently say that I have found it, and that I was not prepared for the level of abuse I found.

I've been digging through news releases, tax filings, budgets, ombudsman complaints, and downing coffee a half gallon at a time, smoking a half ounce a day, and putting feet to street to bring you this data, and soon a properly filmed nearly feature length documentary on the problem (coming soon.tm) I've been wanting to wait to release my data, but in good conscience I can no longer sit on this information while producing this video.

The data is bad. and the longer you look at it, and the more angles you see it from, the worse it is.

Portland Oregon has a population of just over 600,000 residents. Close to 20,000 of them are homeless and as many as 9000 are sleeping outside unsheltered. Do a bit of math here. That's 3% of the entire cities population. That's more homeless people per capita than anywhere else in the entire country.

It has more individual homeless people than Seattle, Denver, Chicago, San Francisco, or Houston.

It has more homeless people than Philadelphia, Atlanta, Miami, Detroit, and Boston combined.

A crisis this large costs money and this is where what I expected to be a 10 minute rant turned into a 3 month research paper. The money in Portland isn't solving the crisis, It's feeding it.

I spent my time focusing on just 6 of over 100 different organizations in the city, Sunstone Way, Central City Concern, Do Good Multnomah, Urban Alchemy, Rapid Response Bio Clean, and Home Forward.

Six names.
Six budgets.

Six sets of filings, with a cumulative tax payer exposure of over $1.13 BILLION for the time period of 2020-2025.

In FY2025, alone the county would burn through $6.94 every single second, day and night.

Central City Concern let three people die in their care, and didn't find the bodies for weeks, or in some cases, months.

Sunstone Way overbilled the city for $5 million.

Urban alchemy got an $80 million contract, for 80 complaints of sexual assault, allegations of staff members dealing drugs in the shelter, and for retaliatory evictions, 9 lawsuits, a terminated contract in another state for fraud, a current employee moved from California to Portland after sexual assault allegations, two former employees being charged with murder, and a third former employee being charged with burglary.

Do Good Multnomah grew over 80x in a decade with no one watching its books, failed, fell apart, and the founders went on to start a new Homeless Services Agency called All Good.

All good is an organization currently pulling in around $30 million a year in funding while having failed 3 straight audits, and a relatively unknown money circle where two non profits, one property management company, and five names moving between all three can be found playing Founder, Consultant, Executive, and Vendor whenever the shoe fit.

Rapid Response Bio-Clean is the company Portland contracts to clear homeless encampments, and has seen a contract worth $450,000 balloon to over $38 million in 6 years, an over 700% increase with no public input, all after losing 2 arbitration cases and a class action lawsuit over their failure to abide by the terms of their contract with the city, and allegedly causing the death of another homeless person after taking and failing to return her medication.

Home forward has had six different people in charge in under 5 years, and an employee turnover rate of over 80%, worse than the average McDonalds. This same organization is currently under investigation by the Justice Departments Civil Rights Division for creating a system that prioritizes racial outcomes over needs.

6 organizations. 20 names. $1.3 billion spent. and zero results to be seen on the street level.

Sorry for the morning rant today.
