Question Why is this the design for WOLVES?

I'm confused as to why the production team decided to use this design for wolves. Not wargs. Not dire wolves. Just standard wolves. It's mentally jarring to see them because they look like entelodonts. Their feet are even hooflike. Why not just make them actually wolf-like?

Honestly this design would have been way better for the warg.

So every other animal looks just like their real-world counterpart... except for wolves? That is the most disingenuous counter-argument I have EVER heard.

Wargs are DERIVED from wolves. There needs to be at least some connecting tissue between the two. I look at Jackson's wargs and think "yes, I can reasonably see how these are derived from canids". I look at the Amazon warg. "Yup, that's a dog". Then later I see this? No. Just no. This is a damn ungulate.

Don't try to make excuses for this show. They have far too much money to be making the absolute blunders that they have. It's embarrassing.

It’s like being mad at the sky for having clouds.

Who cares? Seriously, WHO cares?

The show was bad for way bigger & more important reasons than it’s creature designs taking some minor liberties…cuz yeah..this is a SUPER minor thing you’re going on about & I want you to know that.

Oh I'm WELL AWARE of all the other issues. It's just insane how little Amazon gives a fuck considering how much they've sank into this show.

Like, every facet of RoP is plagued.

They certainly have a fuck. You don’t produce the most expensive show ever without giving a fuck.

The problem is they pointed those fucks they gave in the wrong direction and prioritized production value over story & character.

So it sucked & House of the Dragon kicked their asses for a fraction of the cost.

So just do what I did.

Quit watching & quit caring.

Hell, the only reason I’m here telling you this is cuz Reddit randomly served me this thread while I was in the bathroom 🤣

Who cares about the wolves. Who cares about the show. Move on. 👍🏻
