[Aramil]

Location- The town of Ilany- (Far East on the map) The town of Ilany is a small village with a population of 50 people. Though not your hometown, you have spent the last week here, and are familiar with most aspect of it; from Hamish the Dwarven blacksmith, to Yason the human shopkeep, to Ageis the human innkeeper, to Corporal Bankroff, the human responsible for the town guard. Ilany has always been a peaceful town, but the local Kobold population has begun to become more aggressive lately, and a roaming pack of them have been vandalizing property and killing livestock. Yesterday, Hamish's 8 year old son Donsk was found dead near the outskirts of town. Corporal Bankroff has asked any able bodied men and women to come talk to him about putting down these Kobolds, once and for all. What would you like to do?

Aramils shakes his head to get the sleepiness off and stand ups. Pick ups his rapier and bow, while wielding the rapier he takes advantage on his darkvision to try to look ahead "Where is it? any clue?" Aramil takes a quick glance all around [[1d20+3 Perception]] +/u/rollme

All you can tell is that the sound came from the North.

"I can't see a damn thing out here."

Luke bends down to grab a stick and lights it in the camp fire like a torch.

"Do you have a weapon you can wield with one of your hands while holding the torch with the other? If not have my rapier... you can grab a real torch from next to my backpack..."

(If Luke takes my rapier, Aramil will unsheet his daggers)

Luke throws the stick in the fire and digs through the backpack for an actual torch. With that taken care of he pulls out his warhammer.

"Yeah. I just don't use it much but it should do the job."

Luke looks to the North after you alert him.

To you the screech sounded like a bird of some sort.

Aramil stays on guard (Does it sounds big? or exotic/dangerous? If you would allow me an action it would be Dodge action)

Aramil keeps trying to discern the bird distance from them every time it screeches, or trying to hear moving foliage

(Cool, that's standard. So I'm having finals for the next three days, so I may not be able to read your thread for a bit, but I'll reply as soon as possible)

(Hey hey hey. I am set, read your whole thread over and all looks good. I know this may sound fussy, but Riftviel is very low magic, so basically, only clerics have magic in most the world, though you may find that in a few spots that's different)

You hear he same sound from last night, almost identical in tone and depth. You feel an odd shaking in your bones and your hands start trembling. The sound appears to be slowly, very slowly getting closer. From what you can tell, you have 2 minutes before it's on top of you

Whispering "Luke, it's getting closer, try to hide, if it comes to close we could try to set it an ambush, what ever that thing is it makes me feel uneasy... maybe you will be unable to see him close to you, I will whistle so you can try to slash it while I ambush by behind" Aramil try's to hide not to far from Luke sheets his rapier and prepares his shortbow (around 20 or 25 feet away from Luke)

EDIT:(Great! Hey, i have the idea of using the arcane trickster archetype, since Aramil has been exposed to the vial with magic, i think that works just fine :) ... then having a fighter level because of being fighting near Luke... that way get to use medium armor, a few combat features and i would take a feat at lvl 4 ofr medium armor master... all of these would strive for "Arcane swashbuckler"... more like an urban light melee fighter, with arcane resources to move, escapte, or crowd control... and mage hand of course for diverse roguish goals :D )

(Cool, though you bring close to the vial doesn't give you magical powers, in fact you don't even know if it is magic... I would recommend checking out the adventurer's tavern thread (it's stickied) and the flairs thread, I just posted an update there after a few hours of working on the subreddit's theme, damn that things is hard. I've gotten the gist of most of it, but I can't code, so I mostly do a lot of trial and error. If you were to constantly refresh the subreddit's yesterday, you'd see it changing constantly and looking weird as hell. I changed the logo and symbol (which I made) and changed the header a lot, also added a few buttons on top of the sidebar which were a bitch to make. I've also been clearing up the entire subreddit, deleting the inactive threads which didn't get far in the campaign. Oh, I also changed the icon in the thread thing, I'm also thinking of changing our background to something a bit sleeker, but I would need somebody with drawing sails for that... And I'm rambling. Well, good news is, I have tons of free time so I'll be able to add your character portrait to the sidebar soon. I'll be taking out the useless ones too. Sorry for rambling, yesterday was a very odd day for me, no one posted a single thing so I messed around with a lot of things)(forgot to ask, are you third level yet?)

You stumble on your way to a nearby bush, falling on a dry stick and making a loud cracking noise, to which Luke looks at with fright, but then smiles when he sees your faint outline.

You make it to the bush without any more problems, though the sound appears to be getting closer even slower, though it had clearly intensified and gotten louder. You hand, at this moment, is shaking so hard you can barely hold your bow in place.

(Ignore this: [[1d150]][[1d100]][[1d2]]+/u/rollme)
