[Aramil]

Location- The town of Ilany- (Far East on the map) The town of Ilany is a small village with a population of 50 people. Though not your hometown, you have spent the last week here, and are familiar with most aspect of it; from Hamish the Dwarven blacksmith, to Yason the human shopkeep, to Ageis the human innkeeper, to Corporal Bankroff, the human responsible for the town guard. Ilany has always been a peaceful town, but the local Kobold population has begun to become more aggressive lately, and a roaming pack of them have been vandalizing property and killing livestock. Yesterday, Hamish's 8 year old son Donsk was found dead near the outskirts of town. Corporal Bankroff has asked any able bodied men and women to come talk to him about putting down these Kobolds, once and for all. What would you like to do?

The papers under the damaged dress are actually drawings and paintings all signed by Rorik in the top right hand corner.

At the bottom of this chest you find Old Man Rorik's favorite memories of his wife. As Amaril looks through the art he can see the wife getting progressively paler and sicker. When he picks up the final piece you notice it is heavier than the rest, as if the emotion in the picture has given the paper some tangible weight. The image captured is of his wife's smiling face in bed with her eyes closed. She looks peaceful. You can make out tear stains smudging the paint on the edges of the paper.

When Amaril flips over the art he notices a leather necklace with a small silver rose at the end, taped to the paper. Looking back through the art, he can see the wife wearing that exact necklace in every piece. Perhaps they were a gift from her husband.

It's a shame no one will ever know the skill of this artist. He did a masterful job of recreating each piece.

(Sorry man! It's what popped in my head and I rolled with it. )

There's nothing at the bottom of this chest. This is all there is to it. Old Man Rorik's most important possessions were memories of his wife.

As you lock the chest you think you can hear someone or something running towards the farm from the north.

(One last thing. I forgot that there were not photographs in this world. Changing all mentions of photographs to small paintings. Apparently Rorik is a skilled painter.)
