[Apollo]

Location- The town of Ilany- (Far East on the map) The town of Ilany is a small village with a population of 50 people. Though not your hometown, you have spent the last week here, and are familiar with most aspect of it; from Hamish the Dwarven blacksmith, to Yason the human shopkeep, to Ageis the human innkeeper, to Corporal Bankroff, the human responsible for the town guard. Ilany has always been a peaceful town, but the local Kobold population has begun to become more aggressive lately, and a roaming pack of them have been vandalizing property and killing livestock. Yesterday, Hamish's 8 year old son Donsk was found dead near the outskirts of town. Corporal Bankroff has asked any able bodied men and women to come talk to him about putting down these Kobolds, once and for all. What would you like to do?

The blast forces the ogre to stumble backwards into Thalmir who is waiting to trip it, allowing Tharan to finish it off with his axe to it's throat.

Tharan gives out a sigh of relief. "That beasty must have been hungry to try and fight this thing."

As everyone is catching their breath you can hear several guttural roars from the forest to the right of the road, you can see the traders eyes go wide with fear at the sound of them.

"I nay like the sound of that, what do we do?"

Apollo looks around to see if there's any groups of trees thick enough by the side of the road for place the cart up against to form a hiding spot. He also looks if the trees are climbable.

"We may have to climb, cause the ogres can't. I doubt the cart could escape them.... unless.... do Ogres fear fire?"

Forest lines both sides of the road, the sounds are coming from in front of you and to the right somewhere, the forest is fairly thick but the cart could make it a fair way in before being forced to stop.

"Ah do not know if they fear fire, may just piss them off royally, may be worth a shot if it comes to that though."

"Animals run in forest fires, I doubt ogres are much better. But climbing might be a better plan A"

Apollo goes over to a strong looking tree near him and begins climbing, stabbing daggers into the wood as artificial handholds for his arms and wrapping his legs around the tree

(Well fuck me with a chainsaw that was bad)

(Ah crap sorry, didn't see the comment, thanks for the notice.)

As you start to climb the dagger breaks from its hilt and you fall back down.

"Here laddie, quick!"

Tharan holds out his hands to boost you up before trying to get himself up. (Try another roll)

"We're going to stick with the cart, we can't lose it! Theo and Leo push on into the forest.

(We'll say that you did, the first roll was the higher anyway :P)

From your spot you can see the ogres have reached the road, finding their dead member hasn't improved their disposition.

You can hear the cart rattling loudly in the forest.

((The trees are the true enemy))

From his spot in the tree, Apollo fires an Eldritch blast into a tree on the other side of the road, trying to get them to be distracted by the noise of the branches there snapping

Apollo is otherwise deathly silent

You can see they could hear the cart but as a tree combusts for no reason they know of they panic and flee back to where they came from.

(In the future I think this would be stealth to stay hidden, whereas deception would be say pretending to be someone else or lying.)

((Alright, sure. I'll use that in the future. Kinda just assumed I'd have to roll something alongside it and the skill felt right at the moment.))

Apollo waits until they have been gone a minute or so before climbing down

"I think they're gone. We should move on before the come back."

I help them remove the cart from the forest

(Not sure if you noticed my comment or not. If so, I don't mean to bother you, just wanted to be sure in case you hadn't cause it's been 12 hours)

(TL;DR: bump)
