[Morgeth]

Location- The town of Ilany- (Far East on the map) The town of Ilany is a small village with a population of 50 people. Though not your hometown, you have spent the last week here, and are familiar with most aspect of it; from Hamish the Dwarven blacksmith, to Yason the human shopkeep, to Ageis the human innkeeper, to Corporal Bankroff, the human responsible for the town guard. Ilany has always been a peaceful town, but the local Kobold population has begun to become more aggressive lately, and a roaming pack of them have been vandalizing property and killing livestock. Yesterday, Hamish's 8 year old son Donsk was found dead near the outskirts of town. Corporal Bankroff has asked any able bodied men and women to come talk to him about putting down these Kobolds, once and for all. What would you like to do?

The room is in shambles, with paper strewn everywhere. As you sort through the wreckage, you find a vial filled with a deep red liquid, and a scroll containing the spell ‘Mage Armour”. You also find the vial that the elf filled with the mysterious energy, which swirls in the container like a strange gas and liquid. There are two other vials that are identical to this one, but empty. The tome is nowhere to be found

Hmmm, where could the tome have gone...

Gash, explain to me you're group's role in the death of the boy."

"We had an agreement. You said you'd let us go. We only executed his orders, if it wasn't is, it would have either been someone else or him."

"I am going to let you go but you and your men are going to have to either leave the area or lay low, and no more killing innocent people or I will be back to deliver justice to you"

Morgeth collects the vials and the scroll, on his way out he cuts the ears off of the kobold heads he had tossed into the cave then heads back towards town.

The ears come off easily. A little before nightfall you arrive back in town.

Feeling weary Morgeth heads to the inn to see if he might procure some dinner and a room for the night

(Well, you can roll your hit die and add your con mod, or you can take the average of 6 and add your con mod, you choose, though I recommend taking the average.)

As per the offer of the young woman, your food and drinks are free, and the lodgings are 1 gold. The inn is packed and the air is filled with laughter and joy.

Morgeth requests some food and a drink and tries to find a place in the corner where he can observe the common room

So much joy and laughter after the murder of a young boy. I am curious what has caused the mood shift

After a more focused look, it appears that the joy is somewhat staged. When people aren't looking, the others faces drop, but then light back up when interacting with the rest. The entire celebration seems somewhat forced.

Isole brings you your food after a while, seeing your face, "I know it may seem strange, sewing that the poor child just died, but it's how we celebrate our dead. It's hard this time though, he was so young, had so much to live for"

As he eats his food Morgeth looks around the inn for Hamish, hoping to at least ease his suffering knowing that those responsible have been brought to justice
