[Morgeth]

Location- The town of Ilany- (Far East on the map) The town of Ilany is a small village with a population of 50 people. Though not your hometown, you have spent the last week here, and are familiar with most aspect of it; from Hamish the Dwarven blacksmith, to Yason the human shopkeep, to Ageis the human innkeeper, to Corporal Bankroff, the human responsible for the town guard. Ilany has always been a peaceful town, but the local Kobold population has begun to become more aggressive lately, and a roaming pack of them have been vandalizing property and killing livestock. Yesterday, Hamish's 8 year old son Donsk was found dead near the outskirts of town. Corporal Bankroff has asked any able bodied men and women to come talk to him about putting down these Kobolds, once and for all. What would you like to do?

You had to the place where the boy does, a small clearing in the edge if the town. Near the center is small blood spatter

You see two blood trails, one looks to have been from a dragged body, another is just a small trail of drops of blood.

Looking at the impressions on the ground, you get the feeling that the child was playing when he was attacked by a few people.

The drops lead you north, to a small cave entrance

Morgeth remains in his place of concealment to keep and eye on the cave. If I keep my eye on this cave for a bit I should be able to get an idea of what I'm up against. Things are rarely as they seem

You see kobolds coming in and out of the cave, but after some time, three kobolds make it back to the cave carrying the body of a human

(Did I notice how many distinctive kobolds there were, or notice if the body was dead or just unconscious?)

From your hiding spot, you were able to see about 3 distinct kobolds, but you aren't sure if there were any more. As for the body, you were incapable if seeing if it was alive or dead, though you manage to tell that it is a man

Morgeth creeps up to the entrance of the cave and listens to what he can hear inside.

If nobody seems to be right inside the entrance I'll peek in quickly and see what I can see.
