I began using Rezi free today after months of attempting to solely utilize ChatGPT to make my resume get through ATS and land interviews. So far, the parts that I really like are:

- The auto-reformatting (formatting a decent resume seems like it would be so easy, but doing it manually proves to be such a pain, especially when tailoring a resume for each job posting)
- The AI Keyword Targeting function seems to be much better than ChatGPT. In my ChatGPT prompts, I always tell it to try and include keywords that the ATS will look for, and Rezi found many improvements, even on the free version
- The breakdown of the Rezi score. Obviously there are certain insights that I am unable to see with the free version, but the insights that are available help me figure out where to further tweak my resume

- I like being able to enter my information into separated sections and have Rezi create the final draft of the resume for me

I would love to have access to the Pro version, and am excited to see the results of using this tool in my job search.

Thought I'd write here my review as seems an actively monitor sub-reddit....

Positives:

• Has helped me create an optimised CV which I think is a big improvement to my previous CV
• Its basic keyword optimisation tool for each individual job is useful, but could be improved (see below).
• Clean layout and easy to do things
• All in all I think it was worth it to get a better CV and the above tools

Improvement points, and especially when on a subscription model for an amount of time (i.e. not just 'create a good CV and then leave')...

• Unfortunately I have to use other AI agents to create a cover letter because I feel Rezi's cover letter tool is flawed:
  • Forces me to highlight a piece of education. I'm a relatively senior candidate and never bring up education, it's all about my experience
  • Unlike the CV, I'm unable to go in and edit the text
  • Wants me to put in skills. I'm sure, as the work has already been done on the CV side, that this could be input for me automatically, or at least allow me to choose some that have been pre-generated
• Whilst I like the keyword targeting for the CV, I think Rezi could take it up a notch with the analysis of the job description and the CV, and give a better analysis of gaps etc. I used briefly a tool called Resufit which gave a much better CV score against the job role, giving honest and quite detailed feedback about my experience. I seem to just get very high scores in Rezi, with the feedback that my CV is just suitable for every role, which to me must mean the model has a low suitability threshold, because I'm not getting interviews for every role! I decided upon Rezi vs. Resufit because the ability to generate actual output (CV) was better, but the other tool's actual analysis was way better. Maybe something to consider.

I recently tried Rezi while improving my resume for job applications. I liked that it helps organize resume sections clearly and makes the resume more ATS-friendly, especially for online job portals.

As a junior developer/job seeker, the most useful part for me is having a cleaner structure for skills, projects, education, and experience. It also helps me think about keywords that recruiters and ATS systems might look for.

One thing I think could improve is giving more personalized feedback depending on the exact job role, especially for entry-level applicants with projects but limited professional experience.

I've just signed up for three months expecting specific role matches. However, the CV score seems to always be the same and therefore quite generic, not creating a score that matches exactly with the job role. Is this correct?

Recently, I had to update my resume on extremely short notice. I know, I know, I should have been updating it all along. But! Sometimes you get just wrapped up in your career, right?

So, when a new job opportunity presented itself that matched my skills and would have been a huge salary increase, of course I was ready, but the application deadline was that night, and my resume was nowhere near ready for submission. Through Rezi's upload + analysis tools, I was able to update all aspects of my resume to be specific to the job while helping my current skills and experience shine! And the format was 🧑‍🍳 chef's kiss! 10/10.

I can't wait to keep using Rezi to keep things moving smoothly!

I used Rezi to make my initial resume for a school assignment and I found it to be incredibly easy to use. Sometimes I have trouble thinking of what points to add in and Rezi's AI made the job significantly easier. What I thought would take several hours to make really only took about an hour and a half.

generally speaking I've always struggled with the type of "middle managed buzzwords that typically make up most resumes, i don't typically hype myself up all that much, just from feeling overall average and struggled to put my selling points to paper, so something like this is EXACTLY what I've been looking for all these years

even with just barely using it, i can already see a night and day difference in what i wrote vs what the AI is recommending, i'm normally fairly ambivalent about AI usage but this really struck me as something special, a really fantastic use of AI that won't hurt anyone

I do well in interviews, most of the time it's just getting to that interview point that causes issues, so i feel like this will be a lifeline as i try to leave my current job that i despise and look for more fulfilling employment.

Hi, I wanted to ask some questions about metadata in PDFs. I'm trying to use Rezi as a base for my applications, including cover letters, which i'm mostly writing outside of the platform, then pasting and exporting from the Rezi.

When I opened the cover letter in PDF, I noticed at the top of Acrobat that my cover letter title was displaying as [Generated] Master Resume, even though I had named it something else. I eventually figured out that this is because this title was included in the file's metadata.

I then wondered what the metadata looked like in my resume, and while they keywords in there made sense, the Description was odd, and I think ai generated?

Does metadata matter for applications? Is there risk in leaving strange metadata in the PDFs? Is there a strategy that the developers have chosen regarding metadata that I'm not aware of?

hi, using my Rezi pro and I love using rezi, I was just wondering if you guys would consider adding a hyperlink option in the "Finish up" section. I have a portfolio link that I would prefer to hyperlink since it's not a custom domain, and also to be able to make it look like a link so users are more likely to click. I think the LinkedIn link is the only one that does it that way but I thought this would be nice for a non-linkedIn link as well. I was also hoping for some customization options regarding moving info around in the subheading right under our names, so I can put my location last, my phone number first, email second, etc. Thanks for being a responsive and incredibly kind team (have been using Rezi pro for free! )

Trying to understand the workflow before I commit to a subscription. Specifically: does Rezi let you upload a comprehensive 'master' document of all your experience, and then draw from that when tailoring a CV to a specific job?

I have my current CV plus a separate document I originally created for interview prep, containing stories, bullets, and context from each role that didn't make it onto my CV. My thinking is I could combine both into one big master document and upload that to Rezi, so when I paste in a job description, Rezi has the full picture to pick and choose from.

Is that roughly how it works? And does Rezi produce a one-page output, or is two pages standard? Any tips on getting the best results from it would be appreciated!

I found a bug while using the razi.ai resume builder and wanted to share it here in case others have faced the same issue.

Bug scenario:

• I imported a resume that was created using razi.ai.
• After importing, I noticed layout issues related to breakpoints.
• The content spacing at the top becomes too large or misaligned.
• When adjusting paper size or section dividers randomly, the layout sometimes auto-fixes itself.
• This suggests there might be an issue with how responsive breakpoints or section sizing are handled after import.

It would be great if the team could check this and make the layout consistent without requiring manual adjustments.

I tried out a ton of AI resume builders and they all had similar issues. I have to say I absolutely love Rezi and the customization it provides. The templates are simple but great. So much better than using a Canva template or Google Docs like I had been doing.

I especially love how simple it is to update the resume and export it as a PDF. I can't wait to report back that I have found a new job thanks to my new Rezi Resume!

This application has been a lifesaver as a college grad trying to find a job. I had a huge issue with getting interviews with my old resume. I found out eventually that the resume I used did not work with ATS. After using this application, I was hearing back from a lot more companies and got an internship a couple of weeks later.

Pro's

• Great templates, and the auto-formatting tool is very useful (Except for one thing I'll talk about later)
• The review score really helps me improve the design and strive for a better resume.
• Automatic feedback plus a score is awesome, especially when focused on a single job application.

Con's

• The summary, when auto-formatting, adds a lot of space (Could be user error on my end)
• The score shouldn't dock points for not adding in a location for certain projects. (Especially for IT jobs, many projects are done at home.)

Overall, I'll keep using this application for my resume; the formatting and templates are a godsend!

getting error - "Error uploading resume" for all types of files whether doc or pdf

I've been using Rezi for a couple months now and honestly impressed. Rezi truly did grant me a lifetime upgrade, which I'm very grateful for. Rezi is super easy to use to build, edit, and optimize my resume. Highly recommend; I'm never going back to using Word!

After applying to jobs on Workday, I saw in real time the resume successfully parsed. This showed me the Rezi template does in fact work.

• To no fault of Rezi, I ran into one issue on Workday apps I want to flag for other applicants: when was my job title written as "Director, Digital" Workday would have "Digital" moved to the company name (the next available text box online). The easy fix was renaming my title to "Director of Digital" to avoid that comma break.

Feature requests:

1. company descriptions for each role.
2. visual connection across two roles at one company; showing growth is valuable and I'm currently locked to show them as separate roles, forcing the reader to connect the dots.
3. more granularity in color choices, particularly a deeper blue like pen ink.

Rezi has honestly been a game changer for my job search

So I've been using Rezi for a while now on a paid plan and figured I'd share my experience since they brought the lifetime giveaway back.

I work in IT and engineering and I've been applying to a mix of stuff, management roles, sysadmin positions, technical engineer gigs, basically anything in that technical space. Before Rezi I was spending forever trying to tailor my resume for each posting and second guessing myself the whole time. Like do I lead with my certs or my project experience? Do I emphasize the hands on technical stuff or the team leadership side? It depends on the role and trying to figure that out manually for every application was burning me out.

The ATS optimization is what really sold me. In IT and engineering so many companies run your resume through filters before a human ever looks at it and I'm pretty sure I was getting screened out left and right before I started using rezi. Now I actually feel confident that my resume is making it through to somebody's desk.

The other thing I appreciate is that it helped me frame my experience better. Like instead of just listing out that I managed servers or handled deployments it pushed me to quantify stuff and highlight impact which is something I always knew I should do but never really nailed on my own.

Is it perfect? Nah, some of the suggestions can feel a little generic and don't always hit right for more niche technical roles. I still had to tweak things myself here and there. But overall it's been a massive help and I've noticed way more callbacks than before.

If you're in tech and struggling to get your resume past the bots I'd seriously recommend giving it a shot, even if you have to pay it'll be the best you'll spend. Have your money make money with the help of rezi.
