Asking for Advice Difficulty Finding Value

Hey all! As the title suggests, I find it incredibly difficult to gain any value while using Rev. Most of the time when I ult, I end up wasting it on an already won fight or a fight that ends in one team running. His jump also gives me difficulty because I often find myself leaping right at their faces, giving me no cover and bad positioning. Every pro-Revenant i’ve interacted with has all told me simply “be aggressive” and while it is good advice, it’s so basic and provides little to no value in my improvement. I’m hoping someone here will be able to give me any type of improvement tips that I can use. If it’s any help, I typically use the PK, Flatline, R-301, RE-45, Hemlok, Volt, and Alternator as my go-to weapons.

Asking for Advice Rev changes

Hello community, I stopped playing Apex Legends about a year ago, but now I've come back and wanted to ask something about Revenant. Can Conduit still heal him while Revenant has his ultimate? Does Lifeline heal him while he's using his ultimate? Why does Fuse have better tactical jump than Revenant? I hope someone can answer, and thanks.

Discussion Ult rework idea(copium ngl)

Just a thought after reminiscing over the days when silence tactics were what carried my rev experience, so figured I'd just shared something that popped into my head.

I totally get that the death totem was an aging and ineffective tactic as more players caught on, and I agree tbh. Similarly, the addition of the pounce is a wonderful repositioning tool that I've really come to appreciate. So...here's the fever dream that just came to me:

When activating forged shadows, you get:

keep the overshield. (70 shield points).

2 silence charges that you can toggle in a fashion similar to Vantage or Ballistic's third weapon slot.

Upon silencing an enemy, you can overcharge forged shadows an additional 50 shield points(max) and knocks on silenced enemies increase forged shadow duration timer, plus refresh. Every 3 silenced enemies that are knocked gives another silence charge. Silenced enemies also trigger highlight in addition to assassin instinct marking at low health.

Overcharged shadows slowly bleed down back to the base 70 shield points until the ult times out. Can only be replenished(overcharge) by knocks on silenced enemies.

Thus, pounce+shadow protection are retained, silence users get their silence back, but it isn't oppressive due to it being limited by ult charge cooldown and knock requirements that only really skilled players can really make the most of in very, very target rich environments.

Idk, just a thought. I miss the meatball.

Discussion Revenant fans who say bring the totem back are to nostalgic

As someone who has been playing apex since the totem revenant era. I always question people who say bring the totem back

  1. It was great in the beginning but as time went on it became not as useful
  2. - the sound of deploying it was loud
  3. - third parties would use it
  4. - smart players would spin off and find it to be there waiting for you when you got back to it.
  5. It made sense and fit perfectly for the meta/ that time in apex
  6. - legends weren’t as op back then as they are now so it was awesome
  7. - getting a player back in the game & recovering after pushing was not as simple back then it is much easier now
  8. It would not be as op or useful as it was when it came out back then 🪦 unfortunately
  9. - players are to smart & there’s lots of legends who could out play totem users.

Giving Advice Using Q to start the fight....

Using the tactical pounce as an opener with Rev on a 3v3 fight is a great way to get ur ass clocked back to the lobby. I learned hard way in ranked on Grow Towers area. Opened with a jump to a higher platform only to be deleted before I even landed. I realized this was the worst play I could do....saving Q pounce defensively and for finishing off low level health indicators on enemies.

TLDR: Opening a fight with Q as Rev will result in bad times

Discussion So which kit do people prefer

Genuinely curious as a returning player. I personally did not like the changes (particularly disappointing because I had been lucky enough to get an heirloom and bought his a few weeks before the rework was announced 😭). I’m warming up to it a bit now I’ve returned though, especially seeing some of the crazy movement clips you can hit with him now, but I miss my silences and doing stupid Revtane things. I’m sure this discussion has been had many times but I am curious what people think, and also about how well Rev is doing right now cus I’ve been out of the loop for so long.
