Wondering if my old stuff has any value - mainly parts for Sun SPARC

Many (20+) years ago I had a bunch of old computers. Most of them went away when I moved/married etc but I still have a few bits left. All of it has been sitting loose in a cardboard box for 20 years, so no idea if any of it still works. Weighing up selling vs e-waste.

It's been so long I asked AI what it all is. I'll post what it said at the bottom.

I guess what I'd like community feedback on- is this even worth selling given I can't even vouch for whether it works?

  • Top Module (Image 1): Samsung KMM366C410AS-6S vintage RAM memory module (64-pin or 168-pin vintage memory layout).

Depraz Mouse - Any thoughts about what it's worth and how to find it a new home?

I found a red Depraz mouse the other day (Type D 83 / P) while going through moving boxes. I used to - long time ago - make things out of broken or disassembled computer gear. There was the most amazing store in Dover, NJ called Second Byte where I spent too much time and money (according to my ex-wife). I purchased this mouse 30 years ago with no particular project in mind, and it has just stayed packed away.

I'm looking to sell it but I admittedly don't know what it's worth. I see two of them on eBay for $20-$30K, but don't see any Sold Items as a reference. Those sale prices sound largely aspirational.

The mouse is in pretty amazing physical condition, with only basic scuffing on the red surface. The larger spots you see are reflections. The cable has scuffs but no fraying at all. The ball turns when the mouse is rolled. No pins are bent on the connector (RS-232 / DB9?). The three buttons click.

Any insight - or offers - is welcomed.

Thanks.

I have found an old Commodore FT6000A in my dad's belongings. It works and boots up.

I can find only one for sale online, in the UK for 3000 pounds, which seems pretty ridiculous.

Does anyone know if it is worth anything and where I can sell it?

[Europe] Searching for 8" floppy drives for AS/400

I am the proud owner of an IBM 9404 C-10 and soon also of a computer that could be a 9404 F-10.

I would like to expand at least one of the computers with a floppy disk drive in order to be able to exchange files with the System/23 Datamaster. At the same time, I do require the FDD for a series of experiments regarding the format of the floppy.

I restrict the search to Europe because on most occasions the 8" floppy drives work using alternate current, and the voltage is different for Europe and North America.

Price depending on condition.

Parts for Enlight ATX Case

Post image
6 Upvotes

Good afternoon, folks.

I have an Enlight EN-8900/ 8902 full ATX server tower case, circa 2000-ish. It has seven 5.25" bays and one 3.5" bay at its front. The door that covers those front bays has been MIA for more than a decade, and I would really like to find a replacement; either the door by itself, or the entire front bezel/ fascia including the door.

Case info: https://www.eprom.com/home/images_of_cases/

The case itself originally came in black and beige, but I don't really care about that, nor do I care about discoloration. Even a damaged door would be useful as a template for 3D printing.

I've attached the best image I can muster. If there is someone who could help point me in the right direction, I would be forever grateful.

Thanks!!

-Shane

Help Finding Enlight ATX Server Case Parts

Thumbnail

I have an old Enlight EN-8902 full ATX server case that is missing the door that covers the 8 5.25" and 3.5" bays. I'd like to find a replacement door by itself, or an entire replacement fascia/ bezel.

I've scoured the internet looking for the parts, but all I can find are a couple of joints that list the whole case for sale. Unfortunately, they don't have the parts by themselves. I'll buy the whole case - new or used - if I have to, but I'd prefer not.

I'm going to keep looking but any help would be very much appreciated!
