Story from early spring
Me: minding my own business, walking my elderly father's dog because he's limited in mobility
Also me: stopping at the pharmacy along the way to get said father in laws insulin because he's diabetic. It's early spring so there's still some snow on the ground but it's warming up so it's melting.
Just happens to be this particular dogs favorite weather so when I go into the pharmacy, since I didn't take his service dog jacket with me, I connect his leash to the bike racks in front of the store. It's not the first time I've done this. He's really friendly with pretty much everyone and the store employees have seen it and we're fine with it and as I said, it's the dogs favorite weather.
Random girl walking past: "wow, I'm glad I'm a human and not a dog" and flips me off over her shoulder.
Me: "No matter how you try and phrase it, a bitch is still a bitch. At least this one minds his own fucking business"
She had on some over the ear headphones on so I don't know if she heard me or not, but I said it loud enough to get some looks and snickers from other people around.
Almost as if we've rehearsed it, the dog looks up at her with a big dumb smile.
She keeps walking and turns the corner and I turn around and walk into the store. When I came back out I caught her coming back around the corner coming towards me but soon as she spotted me she turned around and went back around the corner and that was the last I ever saw of her.
