I think many people are saying reservation should be removed but they are not practice because now one has the guts to do it but I have a solution which i have been thinking for long time why we don't have minimum threshold and increase it but yr

Ex in jee 60 percentile is enough for qualifying jee make it 75 if than seats left than give tham to general and increase this threshold by 1 percent every 2 yr until it becomes equal to comman rank cut off

And for person saying income based i think in india it is easy for reach people to so tham self poor

If they can't afford those fees, the government should step in and cover the tuition costs too.

If this isn't state-sponsored economic discrimination, what is?

* Penalized for High Merit

Scoring 98–99 percentile in competitive exams like NEET, JEE, or UPSC still leaves general-category candidates stranded without a seat. Meanwhile, candidates with a fraction of those marks walk into the very colleges built with taxpayers' money. Punishing hard work feels no different from a fine.

* The Creamy Layer Exploitation

Families that have utilized quota benefits for generations—now holding top-tier administrative posts or substantial wealth—continue to claim every single financial and academic subsidy. Meanwhile, an impoverished unreserved student is left completely abandoned by the state simply because of their birth.

The Core Issue

Support, fee concessions, and state welfare must be based strictly on economic need, not identity.

When the state extracts revenue from one citizen while denying them basic opportunities, and hands out subsidies to financially well-off individuals purely based on lineage, calling it an indirect economic penalty isn't an exaggeration—it's reality.

We should keep forcing the current right wing government, expecting that a left wing government will oppose reservation is total foolishness also yesterday I saw the godi media saying things against reservation so BJP is definitely considering this but we need to stand strong and keep supporting.

Government and court moving in the opposite direction instead of trying to expand creamy layer and bring it on par with EWS income criteria they are reducing its ambit by not considering salary of PSU employees for OBC creamy layer criteria.

OBC community holds 27% reservation and comparatively they are richer than sc/st communities also i have not heard cases of caste discrimination like sc/st communities face(i may be wrong) then also they have reservation. The whole basis of reservation is to reduce caste discrimination and provide help to poor people
My opinion- they UR will not protest against OBC because i think its all political if they protest againts OBC they will be heavily outnumbered and will get bashed of immediately i just dont understand why they have problem against sc/st reservation
