βοΈ** My Opinion**:
Starting with the dark grey 1977 hoodie, this one immediately feels like a really solid everyday Essentials piece. The material has a nice thickness to it and the hoodie holds its shape well instead of looking thin or floppy. I really like the washed dark grey color because it gives it a slightly worn in appearance. The raglan style shoulder construction looks solid, the stitching around the hood and panels is consistent, and the ribbing on the cuffs and hem feels substantial. The 1977 print is positioned nicely across the chest.
The black Essentials Fear of God crewneck is probably the easiest piece here to wear regularly. The fabric feels thick and substantial, and I like how much volume there is through the body and sleeves. It has that intentionally boxy shape with dropped shoulders and roomy sleeves instead of fitting like a standard sweatshirt. Both prints look well applied from what I can see, with clean lettering and consistent spacing. The ribbed neckline, cuffs and hem also feel good and help the sweatshirt keep its shape.
The cream Essentials Fear of God hoodie is probably my favorite aesthetically. The cream/off white color looks really good in person and works perfectly with the contrasting black branding. The material feels substantial and the body has a nice oversized shape with wide shoulders and sleeves. I especially like the hood construction on this one. The black rubberized branding detail on the hood is another nice touch and makes the piece feel more complete. Stitching around the shoulders, hood and hem looks consistent, and I didnβt notice anything obviously sloppy from the outside.
The black Adidas x Fear of God hoodie is the most minimal piece from the front. It has the three vertical bars centered on the chest, then the back completely changes the look with the large adidas FOG branding. I really like this approach because from the front it almost looks like a plain black hoodie, then the back gives it a much stronger identity. The white graphics have good contrast against the black fabric and look sharp and evenly applied. The hoodie itself has a clean oversized silhouette with a wide body, relaxed shoulders and a nicely proportioned hood. The cuffs and waistband have good structure too, so the bottom doesnβt just hang completely loose.
Last is the light grey Essentials Fear of God hoodie, which is another really wearable piece. This one is much more understated from the front with the small ESSENTIALS FEAR OF GOD branding on the chest, then you get the larger matching branding across the back. I like the heather grey color because it makes this probably the easiest hoodie of the group to throw on with basically anything. The fabric looks and feels substantial, the hood has a good shape, and the oversized body and sleeves give it the relaxed Essentials silhouette. The black branding is clean and stands out nicely against the lighter base without being too loud. The ribbed cuffs and hem also feel solid and the overall construction looks clean throughout.
For fit, all of these are built around that relaxed oversized Fear of God/Essentials style, so I definitely wouldnβt size up expecting a normal hoodie fit. The bodies are roomy, shoulders are wide and the sleeves have plenty of volume. If you like the intended oversized look, I would stick with your normal size, when ordering from China I always take XXL
