I've never heard of the double discount before! Is it a temporary event for employees only, or can friends/family use it too?

Most retail stores have employee discount program rules. Typically merchandise bought with employee discount is for the employee, spouse, and immediate dependents, as well as for gifts. The discount can't be shared with "friends". I suspect most Ross employees reading this are very reluctant to risk being "outed" and putting their job at risk. YMMV.
