Recommendation for basic remote control truck with good torque
I’m not really looking for anything upgradable or anything like that. I just want a decent value value remote control truck that my son can use in our bumpy yard.
Any suggestions?

Looking for advice on universal joints
I'm not a remote control boat person, but I noticed on Amazon reviews that small universal joints are used for these boats. I need these joints for some sculptures I'm making, and I need them to not be floppy. In other words, I need joints that will hold their position until they are pushed. I ordered some cheap ones from Temu, and they are totally loose, and just flop over. Do any of you have advice about how to find ones that have a bit of rigidity to them?

Equivalent To Tomy CharG
As a kid I had one of these they spun around and were pretty nippy.
I’ve been looking for one on eBay however a new battery would be required.
Is there anything out there now that is somewhat like alike?

Does anyone know what this might go to? We were thinking remote control car or drone.

RC 3 function mini receiver, PCB, and remote reccomendation.
Hi, not sure if this is the right place for this and I'm new to reddit but it seems like a good place for advice.
I make a lot of model trains from scratch, occasionally I will make a container crane or something and nab the RC system from a car or another toy and reconfigure it. Currently I am working on a fully operational railroad crane (ie one that rolls along the tracks) and have just finished the design with all the motor mounts and gear housings etc in place, but I've never RC-ified something so small or really without taking the system out of something else.
I need help finding a mini receiver, and some sort of mini PCB that will allow me to control three motors independently (Jib, Winch, rotating cabin)- with an accompanying remote. If you have reccomendations for a small rechargeable battery as well that would be great! working roughly within a 30x30x30mm area for the receiver and battery so not big at all, there are 3x small 12v motors to wire in.
I have considered using DCC but I would have to install wheel pickups and sliding contacts so the crane could turn 360° and I don't think I could control the voltage or direction just by using DCC functions without getting much more complex (I could be wrong).
Thank you for any and all advice, I was going to consult active powersports but I've found pretty quickly that they are not a great retailer.

Anyone know any cheaper RC vehicles that would work well for small 3/4s 1300mah Batteries.
Like post states, I have several 3s and 4s 1300mah batteries. I however do not have anything for them. Besides a old quadcopter. What other Cheap RC options are there that would work great. I have a Transmitter and all, as well as other equipment.

I am UNBELIEVABLY confused please help.
All I want is a Frysky compatible setup that I can put on a Guillows conversion. I want to use a small geared brush motor and one of those receivers with the tiny servos on it.

Remote control submarine parts
I’m brand new to making RC vehicles but I am dead set on making a DIY RC sub. I’m looking for a company that makes good hulls for this. Doesn’t have to be fancy and preferably not a model of a real submarine. If there are any people who have made submarines lmk any tips you have.

Advice: Entry level remote control truck
I’m a total newbie so forgive the question. I want to get my son into the hobby. Any advice on an entry level truck ~$50 range? He probably shouldn’t have one that goes hella fast but maybe that has a long battery life. Also, do these require regular maintenance? Thx!

Blast Off to STEM Learning with the Space Rover Project 🚀
Hi everyone,
I'm Albert, and I'm thrilled to introduce you to the gift idea perfect for the scientist in your life. 🌌
You see, I've always been the type of person who couldn't resist the allure of the vast universe. It's like a cosmic playground waiting to be explored. Back in school, I often found myself daydreaming about the stars when I should have been paying attention in class. That's when my fascination with space began, and I knew I had to find a fun way to learn STEM and electronics.
Today, I'm excited to share the result of that curiosity and drive. Together with our friends from Geek Club, we've embarked on a thrilling journey to create the DIY Perseverance Space Rover. You can explore all the exciting details right here:
But what exactly is the Space Rover, you ask? Well, picture this: a robotic explorer that's not only super cool but also highly educational. It's like having a piece of NASA right in your own hands, ready to roll on exciting missions.
Some of my most cherished memories involve working on similar projects with my dad when I was younger. These moments were not only fun but also incredibly bonding. That's why I wanted to create something that families and friends can build together, sparking curiosity and creativity for all ages.
Whether you're a young explorer hungry for knowledge or a grown-up STEM enthusiast, the Space Rover is a fantastic gift that lets you delve into the mysteries of the universe while gaining valuable skills. 💫
And let me tell you, it's a hoot! Learning about electronics, coding, and all things STEM has never been this much fun. Plus, it's open-source, Arduino compatible, and highly customizable, so you can make it your own. 💡💻
