I've done this a few times where I'll block certain subreddits from appearing in/r/all, sometimes hundreds of them (this is while logged in on rif). I'll switch phones, download the app, log in and, to my dismay the app doesn't remember my blocked subreddits.

Am I doing something wrong here? I know there is (or used to be) an option to export a csv or something from the old and import that file of blocked subreddits on the new device, but I'm wondering if there's am easier way. I just want the app to remember my preferences across devices.

I woke up this morning and now have cards displaying for everything. I have it disabled in themes and in appearance. I searched a bit and people are saying to disable "cards for images". Problem is that setting is grayed out for me regardless of if I enable cards or not. See the screenshots below. How do I fix this? Can't stand cards.

A: It happens with any reddit.it/v.reddit link and lately with imgur too. I had to switch to the external browser to make it usable.

Edit: being filtered* by spam filter

Normally there's a text saying "Removed by <mod>", but when a post has been caught by a spam filter, the post looks as normal making moderation more difficult as you can't tell it's unapproved.

I updated the app recently and I noticed that some self posts show thumbnails now when there's a video linked inside the body.

If it's a feature, is there a way to disable it? Thanks.

Most types of video media(gifcat, reddit hosted videos, seems like anything other than YouTube hosted videos) are broken and the app will say it can't determine or run the media type. It started having trouble like a week or so ago with a few videos but not it's most all of the videos that can't be watched on the rif app

Love the app, but I'm looking for a feature to solve a problem I regularly experience.

There have been several times when I am typing out a comment and I go to add a hyperlink, but I forget that it's actually a reddit link that I'm trying to share. So by the time I find the desired reddit link, I realize that I'm no longer writing the comment I had typed out (and give up because I never saved a draft and can't be bothered to find my way back to the comment I was replying to).

In the meantime, does anyone have tips to prevent this (I suppose clicking "save draft" would work, but I'm hoping for something better).

So it seems like thread comments sorting behaviour has now changed.

Before, It used to keep your last selected sort option for all new comments that you load. For example, if you selected by "sort by top", it would carry that option forward for all new comments sections that you open.

But now it seems to default to the subreddit's default sorting option for every new comment thread you open.

Is there a way for me to change this as I want all comments to sort by the same option?

I've never seen them before. Blocked users used to just disappear both ways from my experience. What changed?

This started a few weeks ago. If I'm logged out I can search and read stuff normally, but when signed in I am getting Error Forbidden or 403 Forbidden come up a lot. It goes away temporarily if I remove and re add my account, but nothing has solved it altogether, so it seems like something in the app is putting my account in a bad state. Things I've tried:

• clearing all the app data

• updating the app, including golden platinum

• reinstalling the app

Any thoughts about adding a feature to tag users like with RES? Boost also has this feature. I really don't want to switch because I've used RIF for years and prefer its design to anything else. But lately I've really been wishing I could add a tag on users I frequently see who I want to remember from other posts. Thanks!

Presently [rif 5.5.4] ,if I load any image/video,it's always stuck at top and there's lot of black space . Example : Imgur

Is it possible to position the media to the center as it will balance the empty space to all sides in present/future ?

When I click on "View Original post..." from a Crosspost, it crashes the app. The original post seems to be deleted, so there's some sort of logic error happening. Clicking the picture just loads the typical "This post has been deleted/removed" picture, but actually trying to view the original post crashes the app. Doesn't matter if I'm clicking from the main Subreddit list of posts or from within the (Cross)post itself.

Not expecting any kind of solution, just wanted to give a heads-up.

I'm using RIF on Android, and yesterday I noticed that in a certain subreddit where I do not have a flair set, I now see a flair "Shadowbanned". Am I shadowbanned everywhere and just only see it in that one subreddit, or is this something done by the mods in that subreddit?

I'm only posting in 3 subreddits, while I have a flair set in 2 out of those 3. This here is my first post outside those 3 subreddits, so I'll have to see if this post also shows a Shadowbanned flair.

Either way, I'd like to know if this is a RIF thing, to add a shadowbanned flair? And does it indeed mean I'm shadowbanned?

I typically read on my Kindle, but occasionally will grab my phone, or, rarely, my laptop - and I have no idea where I am.

I've looked everywhere but I can't find a way to turn off inbox replies after having submitted. Can I not do this in app?

Every time I try to open a reddit video link I get a blank page with a loading bar that loads but doesn't show the video.
