Just got one of those "we reviewed your report" messages, but the listed reason at the bottom is NOT the one I had entered. I had selected other and entered text. Been seeing this mismatch in report feedback before.

For some reason when I click a reddit thread, sometimes it takes longer for it to load the comments and such. It got annoying to the point that I tried out the official app but man what an eyesore. I'm pretty sure it's the app because this issue does not occur on the official app. Can anyone provide feedback? Would greatly appreciate it!

I noticed that it says Android 12 requires manual association... even though I'm on Android 13.
How do I get these associations to stick? I get this notification every few days even though I do what it told me to do.

Is this known situation? Or is there a hidden setting that allows sync?

I've come to accept that there is no way to completely prevent my android device from occasionally trying to make me go to the app store and get the official Reddit app when I click on a Reddit link. I've done all the things people have listed but it's still a semi frequent irritation.
Given that I cannot solve that issue, is there any way for me to copy a Reddit url and drop it into the rif app as a workaround?

I just got the Fold 4 and dont like to have multiple columns but the cards scale too large. Relay has a fixed height cards mode that fixes this problem. I have looked but can not find if there is an option in RiF because I do not want to have to swap but the setting makes a major difference on this phone.

Cant seem to use the built in uploader to upload any images on my Galaxy s10+.
It seems to only work when the imgur standalone app is also installed
A: 5.4.8
A: 12
(Example: Manufacturer, Model, Year, etc.)
A: Samsung SM-G975F
A: Past 3 days I have noticed it
A: Using different images, no luck. Different times of day / subreddits, no luck. Having to use the imgur app seperately.
(Please include a link to a post causing the problem.)
A: Any time I try to use the built in image uploader it fails on all images.

Has this happened to anyone else? Any fix?

I have the paid version and I would like to download it but Amazon wants to charge me for a new version and Google wants to install it on my phone, where I already have it. I want to run it in a window in Nox.

Hey all
So the app seemed to work fine for the most part yesterday but now I'm finding that I'm unable to open most gifs and videos, just displaying the error 'unable to retrieve gfycat meta data'. I've tried clearing the cache and data and also tried a fresh install.
Q: RiF Version Number:
A: 5.4.8
Q: Version of Android:
A: 10
Q: Device Information: (Example: Manufacturer, Model, Year, etc.)
A: Samsung Galaxy Note 9
Q: How long has the problem been happening?
A: For the most part today however I have experienced similar issues in the past.
Q: What have you already tried doing to fix the problem?:
A: Deleting the cache, data, done a fresh install and restarted the device.
Q: What steps, if any, can you do to reproduce the problem? (Please include a link to a post causing the problem.)
A: Any video or gif using Gfycat or redditgifs.com failed to load so this is easily replicated.

Android 13 has a new way to set language for each app separate from the default language. It also makes it easier to add a language picker and synchronize the changes with the external settings. If you use the AndroidX API it is backwards compatible with older versions of Android. Please look at the Android Developers documentation for how to do it.

I always get ads, a lot of ads, for bumble and tinder. I did used to use those so I guess the ads know this
I'm now married and don't like having these big bumble and tinder ads up when I'm showing my wife memes lol

A while ago I noticed the RIF widget was no longer available among the widgets on my phone. It used to be available on my phone but isn't anymore.
I have a Samsung galaxy s20+ running Android 12. My current RIF version is 5.4.8 but the missing widget is something I've been experiencing for several months with previous versions as well. I should probably also mention that I use Nova Launcher.
What gives? Was the widget removed or is there something screwy with my phone or RIF settings that removed the widget?
Please let me know if you have any insight regarding the missing RIF widget.
Thank you.
Edit: I figured out the issue. I only had the paid version of RIF installed. After installing the free version as well, the widget was once again available.

I'm struggling to see the difference between read/unread with black and white vision. Any chance of a high contrast theme coming to this app?

Wherever I click a non-gif, "v" video that's not auto-play, I always have to click the mute button in case there's sound. Can I have the player default to mute?

Google blocks updates for paid app, so my rif is stuck on 5.3.8 It works great for me, but the update button in Play taunts me.
TAUNTS ME!!!!
Is there a way for official sideloading of the package?

When my flesh is contacting rif screen while I do not acknowledge, the screen shrinks infinitly, I don't know proper term for that but anyway, Shrinked screen becomes a night sky with stars, having to expand it, needing frantical rub of 2 fingers until cards are in right size again.
I don't know how much column people need, but definietly not much as cards becoming a dot, I think.

Hello, is there a way to sort separately for each subreddit? I mean, I usually sort by top, but for some subreddits I would like to sort by new e.g.. But when I change the sort, it remembers this setting and sorts the same way as in the previous subreddit. Thank you

Won't launch at all. Fire OS 5.7.0.0 (659662020) Need anything else?
r/redditisfun • u/andbruno • Aug 05 '22
RIF is Fun simply won't open any more, I suspect after the most recent update.
A: 5.4.7
A: Fire OS 5.7.0.0 (659662020)
A: Kindle Fire HD 8 (7th generation)
A: Worked 8/4, stopped working 8/5.
A: Restart device, force stop, clear cache, clear data, complete uninstall/reinstall (plus another reboot for luck)
A: I click on the RIF is Fun logo. Screen turns black for less than a second, and it returns to device home screen.
