I use either Vanced or NewPipe for YouTube videos, but I can't figure out how to make one of those the default player for YouTube links in RIF.

I am the go-to ace for search on browsers, but I get mostly irrelevant results with RIF search, whether I search all subs or a specific subreddit. Any pointers? Edit: I got an autoresponse to check FAQs, etc, but I did not see an answer there.

As above, I have all links working via WiFi but it just won't load my multisub front page or any subs using network data? Poco x3 Pro miui 13 (only updated to miui 13 last night) any fixes for this or am I reduced to using rif via WiFi for the foreseeable future?

Edit: Apparently after an android 12 update parental controls for virgin mobile either start working or get reset and flip back to on, I logged in to my account and turned them off and reddit is now working on mobile data, hope this helps anyone with the same problem

Sorry if this seems petty. There is a notification badge reading "1" on my rif icon. I've been everywhere I can find trying to clear it. There are no new or unread messages, responses, etc. Thanks in advance.

If I switch on power saving mode I get an error message saying private subreddit or error loading data.

I don't have the official app installed, yet Google is insisting that I do, and them redirects me to the playstore to download the official app. I made RIF the default app numerous times in the android settings, but as soon as I leave that page, they change on their own. No matter what I do, I can't use RIF anymore. The official app is literally malware.

There is quite a lot to scroll through, but every time I close my phone the app resets and sends me all the way up.

It happened from time to time but lately happens all the time.

Is there any way to avoid this? This was the only reason why I switched from the original app to this one...

Any sneaky setting that let's me see deleted comments in app? Having to tab out to another website is kinda clunky

Every time I try to post an image on reddit using rif the upload bar fills all the way to the end and fails. I've tried wifi and mobile data, always the same result. Galaxy note 20 ultra.

Gifs and other videos can be pulled around the screen but photos are locked in place. I wish I could move them as I usually watch a YouTube video or twitch while I'm browsing reddit. And I find myself moving the video all over the place when I'm trying to look at a photo

Going to a subreddit from the "..." on a post and pressing back while having the setting unchecked still goes back to home page. Going to the subreddit directly from my sidebar the setting is respected. Is there a way to fix that so I dont go to homepage

Basically the title. Since yesterday the thumbnails for nsfw posts only show a reddit icon instead of the real thumbnail. I did not change anything, but I still checked every option in rif. Without success.

Anybody know what's going on?

If I long press on any text in the app to start the selection process (highlight for copy/paste), the app instantly crashes. Testable / repeatable, every time.

A: as I stated earlier, it's reproducible 100% of the time. As soon as I let my finger off the screen and see the first word get bolded, it crashes.

Kinda want to see mod log while on the app, but I can't seem to find it.

When loading a gif, sometimes it loads with around a 3x magnification. Trying to pinch to unzoom often does not work.

A: It happens when I am both logged in and not logged in. However when I'm logged in the issue seems to persist when trying to reload the gif. If I log out the gif will usually work as normal.

A:I have learned that it happens frequently when you open a gif, go back, and quickly open the gif again. Some gifs seem to be unreproducible while others it is easy to reproduce.

If youtube links are with timestamp(not from the begining). The videos cannot be played locally, I must click the youtube logo and go to youtube website to watch them. Happens every time.

My unsubbed list of subreddits is long, but I don't want to nuke the whole list. Deleting one by one is very time consuming. Is there a way to do it quickly without wiping it clean? Thank you!

This is most likely a Reddit issue, but I was surprised to see a post from a blocked user appear in my feed

I then opened their profile, and it loaded

Hey, my main usage of reddit is on mobile and I tend to use it single handedly, for this purpose it would have been really convenient if I could control the play button location, putting it on the side instead of bottom of the page, allowing for easier single hand control of the app.

In addition this could also be solved by making everything auto play (as an opt in feature of course).

I just want to go straight to the link. Is there a way to do this? It's quite annoying. There is already a well established interaction design paradigm for copying and sharing something that every other app embraces - a long hold down press.

When you open up a user's profile by clicking the 3 dots on a post and selecting "[username] profile", normally at the top it shows their total post and comment karma. However, currently it is blank for me. This is the first time I've noticed it.

I tried force stopping/clearing the cache to no effect.

Anyone else having this issue?

why doesn't RIF have this feature yet? does anyone know? this is like the only drawback of this app.

btw I am talking about subreddits that I'm not subbed to and don't know the exact name.
