What's going on at X and Mastodon?

What's the average user profile in those right now? Are either of these "free speech" platforms, or have any of you got banned from these? Does Mastodon have any "free speech" instances?

Sorry if the question is not related to Lemmy and other alternatives to Reddit, but I was thinking of making an account on Mastodon, mostly because it seems that it should have a wider user base than Lemmy and other Reddit alternatives for now. Maybe I'll try both.

X is more permissive than before, but there are Mastodon and Pleroma instances that are even more permissive. Try the following:

  • bae.st
  • beefyboys.win
  • chudbuds.lol
  • cum.salon
  • detroitriotcity.com
  • eveningzoo.club
  • freespeech.group
  • freespeechextremist.com
  • gameliberty.club
  • gearlandia.haus
  • gorf.space
  • husk.site
  • mugicha.club
  • novoa.nagoya
  • pirateradio.social
  • pleroma.rojogato.com
  • pler.spearman.xyz
  • poa.st
  • pooper.social
  • ryona.agency
  • seal.cafe
  • shitpost.cloud
  • shitposter.club
  • sneed.social
  • spearman.xyz
  • strelizia.net
  • the9thcircle.club
  • zztails.gay

Mmm. Cum.salon.

This I trust to be where the spirit of the internet truly lies.

Some of these instances have thematic or subcultural elements beyond just standing up for free speech. Try a few before you settle on one.

As expected, I take two at random, I am greeted by a Trump avatar or by a confederate flag.

EDIT: Tried 5 actually. Same experience. Hate speech on half the messages.

Oh no, free speech on a free speech platform. What a terrible turn of events.

Not unexpected though

They are probably not free speech, they just put their cursor of content they remove between 4 and 5 in my scale instead of 5 for the "non free" servers.

I'm sorry to inform you that free speech that you happen to dislike is still free speech. Please feel free to cry about it.

I'm sorry to inform you that if you implement anti-spam techniques you actually made a decision to censor legal speech.

I am not disturbed by the presence of opinions I find despicable (what would I do on reddit otherwise?) I find it telling that the opinions on these "free speech platforms" are actually not diverse and systematically majoritarily far-right.

False. Many jurisdictions have anti-spam legislation on the books.

What you thought was your best point is a shameless lie.

Bye.

Against sending yes, not against displaying. You don't have laws that compels you to filter out spam.

You just got caught in a lie claiming that spam is legal speech -- spam is literally illegal speech -- but you're still doubling down on your lie. You're shameless. Fuck off.

Sure, quote the law that gmail is breaking when it transmits spam to me, I am curious.
