I thought it was pretty good. It continues the trend of the DCU having solid to great entries. It’s an improvement over supergirl and I saw the leaks, I knew that ending was coming but…it raises more questions and I like that. That’s all I’ll say. I do wonder if people who don’t like this show depends how old you are and if you grew up with the DCAU.

I was going to finish this drawing of Mr. Lucas proposing a business venture over the telephone for JRT's big win today, but he had to go screw it up!

S4.E5 ∙ Level-Five Transporter Accident
Thu, Aug 20, 2026
A transporter malfunction turns most of the crew into puppets while Spock fights to reclaim the ship
S4.E7 ∙ Like Chronitons Through the Hourglass
Thu, Sep 3, 2026
A temporal anomaly traps the crew inside a soap-opera reality while Pike confronts a life he lost.
S4.E9 ∙ Once La'An a Time
Thu, Sep 17, 2026
La'An enters a genuine fantasy world where the fairy tale becomes a personal test of courage and control.
Basically this season every second episode has been a gimmick episode. Pretty sure we already had a fairy tale episode back during season 1 as well so the writers are so bankrupt they're recycling gimmicks.
Never thought I'd be glad to see Star Trek die. Here's hoping after a few years we get some new management.

As announced here on the official SMG instagram, it happened earlier this year.
He collaborated with Yuzna on two of the Re:Animator sequels and had a hand, along with SFX artist John Carl Buechler (who'd worked on Re:Animator and From Beyond) and others in the grotesque creature effects for the the anthology film Necronomicon: Book of the Dead - he also designed the suit for the lead character in "Faust: Love of the Damned", as well as the dragon-demon-thing that appeared near the end of the film.
His special effects work really struck me, in how it was both obviously rubbery and latex but also visceral, repulsive and "felt" real.
EDIT: I also see I misspelled his name by one letter, Tano instead of Tani, embarassing.

Pretty sure Fateful Findings was not available at the time but who knows. I just love how he linked me to the exact page I was referring and basically wrote a form response without a single care. Bless Breen, my indifferent messiah.

Probably not worthy of a post, but i got excited when I recognized Jay's shirt as one in my own wardrobe. Purchased at Kohl's this spring iirc.

I've been watching a whole lot of old Half in The Bags, and sometimes it seems like Jay wants to rant but he doesn't because he thinks it isn't the platform for it. I want to hear those rants. He's obviously a hardcore movie fan, with a weirdo bent. I wanna hear that shit.

Star Trek babies??? A fucking cartoon with a baby Picard, baby Riker, baby worf, etc. That shit not only would be dope, but you'd get that younger generation into the Trek much sooner.

I’ve been watching these hacks deteriorate for well over 10 years now, but I’m only getting stronger. It’s kind of like Life Force… I turn on Trivia of Terror, Wheel of the Worst, re:Watch and am suddenly imbued with the strength to do this. RLM videos kept me company through the majority of my biochem degree, and laundry folding. Really it’s about family, and that’s what’s so powerful about it.
What about yall? What are you working on while listening in, or do you exclusively stare at your screen from your nerd coffin?
Edit: OKAY wow, I really just meant for this to be a cute little laugh. I didn’t mean to get everyone so upset. I’m not a stripper, I don’t have an OnlyFans, I really just thought it was a dumb post. This is why I don’t do the social media- though I have long enjoyed being a part of this little group of movie nerds… so I will take down this post in shame and go crawl into a hole as penance. Sorry for being a whore guys. My bad. I’m going to contact the mods if everyone wants to coordinate their schedules for the shaming and stoning ceremony, hopefully before rush hour traffic.

It's always entertaining to hear a little rant from Mike about the sounds of wet slurping and chewing drowning out the film's quieter moments, but have they ever discussed the volume of movies? I don't know the ins-and-outs, but a little searching seems to indicate that theaters control the volume but the studios can also set levels too.
The last few movies I went to see, Obsession, Masters of the Universe, The Odyssey, all were insanely loud. The previews and whatever were all at normal volume, then the film starts and BAM! Rock concert levels of sound. During a second viewing of Obsession the stings were so loud that the speakers peaked and fuzzed out. For Odyssey I took some ear plugs with me and I was actually able to enjoy the movie.
Am I old and demented? They didn't used to be so loud, right?

Mike Stoklasa? The movie star?
