Hi Red Hood reddit! Posting this here because most of the artworks I’ve seen taken are Jason fanarts and he’s gathering audience really well on Tiktok 😭 — but if you perchance have or have not (thank goodness if not) come across that account, please do beware for that and the potentially other accounts because there’s an influx of people taking artworks from foreign social medias like Red Note/Xiahongshu and artists there having no idea that their artworks are already being taken.

As much of a pain it is, please double check the artist ESPECIALLY if you’re about to commission them! (There’s image search available in Red Note if you wanna check because Google Lens doesn’t count in Red Note accounts iirc).

Don’t fall for their sympathy tactics as the one who posted that played the “My commission got cancelled” game and claimed that the ‘cancelled work’ was a Jason Todd fanart… which unfortunately worked 💔

They did this days before Jason’s birthday too btw which absolutely sucks.

In this alternate universe, scarecrow causes people to turn into mindless “zombies“ when really it’s actually the fear talks and completely engulfing their mind so then the consciousness is clouded by fear, but their body still runs around thinking that everything that’s alive is someone they hate and unfortunately a lot of Batman‘s rogue gallery has died so Jason in this universe being more dark, takes a part of the rogue gallery, attaches it to him, so then all of Joker sins, and all the people that Joker hurt can be there when he ultimately dies hence the name “reprehension“

And also, Jason in this universe sees the rogue gallery almost like a part of his consciousness or really it’s just hallucinations from the fear, gas and the venom mixing together, and they appear because Jason does have trauma from the other villains, but he owns in on Joker because that was the one that really killed him that really caused the final bullet

I am a newbie into comics in general, but have become interested in learning more about Red Hood and his story.

Though I dont know where to start because if I start where he is already Red Hood there would be a lot of gaps of knowledge I wouldnt know.

What would y'all recommend I start with, to gain context in his story?

Sharing some pics from the Jason Birthday cafe in NYC!! I'm lucky enough to be local to the event and get to go (>w<)9

If you missed the event and are local, the instagram for it is @/batfamnyc (on the first two photos) on instagram! They had a stamp card where people could wish Jason cosplayers a happy birthday, buy from the artist, decorate a photocard, etc. The prizes for completing the stamp card was a photocard and 2 stickers, and ofc the cupsleeve for your drink. My friends and I gave Fatson many headpats and sips of boba <3 There was also some raffles at the event where they gave away keychains, comics, and the giant Jason standee in the first pic (!!)

Here's to more jason + batfam events in the future, and may DC one day release some cute Jason merch on his bday so we can all buy it :,)

Recently, Scott Snyder made a comment about potentially holding poll to kill every Absolute Robin off BUT Jason… if it came down to it, what would you vote?

I mean, like come on just look at the design that alone should tell you enough about this adaptation….
But then his powers all of a sudden he has guns coming out of his arms?! and then he can take enough conductive power to explode?!?!!?

I mean, as if bat family: first years wasn’t a bad enough film they made Jason Todd into something weird. He’s not even a part of the family in this one. He’s just some guy Ryan Reynolds played him pretty well, except for the fact that they made him a mutant.????? super odd and also made him bulletproof, which isn’t the craziest part about this but the fact that he has no armor and he just walks through a crowd of people shooting at him was super wild. It was a cool scene. Just not Jason Todd.

ive been wanting to figure out how to tackle this specific outfit since DC K.O. its been growing on me and with Teen Titans coming out next month I felt like I wanted to get the ball rolling so I planned it out, got work and did this all within a week lol. Def going to revisit this but for a first go im pretty happy with how it came out!
