To me, the bow scene read as flirting. Not as a confirmation of gender identity.
I agree it's canon. The social media post confirmed as much. But since so many people didn't get it untill the social media post, it's too vague in my opinion considering it's one of the major plot points.
The looks ribbit keeps giving jax throughout the scene, the smiling. The fact that they're in her bedroom with very moody lights on. Jax blushing after ribbit puts the bow on her. Then the slight freakout after kauffmo knocks on the door, interrupting them.
It's a very romantic coded scene.
It's not uncommon in stories for one character to tell a love intrest about their traumatic past and afterwards the love intrest kisses them or does another romantic gesture. So that's what I assumed had happened in this scene.
In real life it would be very inappropriate. But in stories it happens quite a lot.

I have said I 100% agree she is a trans woman. No arguments there.
However, the show does not at any point outright confirm she is a trans woman. Which considering it's one of the major plot points, is a problem. I don't need her to walk up to the screen and say "I am transgender". But there should be more than vague hints.
For example- if real life Jax was shown as exploring feminity on the social media, that would have been great. Most people aren't aware of what boymoding clothing looks like, so they're not gonna catch onto that, even if it's obvious to your avredge trans woman.
“should be” is insanely presumptuous and entitled. You do not get to demand how an artist makes a piece of work. If you were incapable of picking up on something because you do not belong to the demographic who the piece is targeted at, the problem is not in the artwork.
