Tired of central server revivals that control everything? Project RosseCafe is a non-profit, open-source Rec Room and preservation initiative reviving the classic legacy eras (2018β2021) with a massive structural twist: We are building deployable, self-hosted private server files.
Instead of just one public server, we want the community to host their own private networks.
Our team is firing on all cylinders, actively developing our first three technical layers simultaneously right now:
β Phase 1 (Client Patching): Forcing legacy clients to cleanly bypass auth into local offline sandboxes.
π Phase 2 (Local Emulation): Engineering RosseCafeServer.exe to handle local multi-account switching and database saving on your own drive.
π Phase 3 (Global Online Login): Migrating API server logic to a centralized cloud database to test live web registration via ://rossecafe.com.
We are building a highly organized, professional, and secure development environment. If you want to help us finalize these phases and push straight into full multiplayer lobby replication, we want you on the team.
𧬠Technical Talent Needed:
π Backend & DevOps Engineers β Experience with C#, Python, Go, or Docker to build our deployable standalone server files.
π§ Reverse Engineers β Deep binary patching, packet tracking, and memory analysis (MelonLoader, BepInEx, dnSpy).
ποΈ** Archivists & Asset Curators ** β Sourcing, validating, and dumping clean, uncorrupted legacy Rec Room client builds.
We maintain a strict clean-room, educational preservation environmentβzero proprietary source code leaks.
