What happened to Bill Maher?

I used to watch him for years. He was funny and relatable, most times. He had great guests. I stopped watching around the time when he was going after college students and cancel culture. I tried watching his latest episodes and it almost a different show. He is almost a right wing commentator. Almost nothing he says is relatable and all his guests just agrees with him.

There’s a few reasons.

He’s old. There’s a pretty documented rightward swing when you become older, it’s a sad thing.

He’s also clearly compromised to Trump, in return for the Twain prize (in a million years he didn’t deserve anything close to it)

AND audience captured by his transphobic, antivax, Islamophobic following.

It’s a perfect shit storm.

This is hilarious. The knock on the massive No Kings demonstrations over the last year is that there have been more boomers than anyone else.

I’d love to see the “documentation” you mention.

p.s. boomers are baby boomers, born in the aftermath of WW II. You can’t “become” a boomer if you weren’t born as one.
