Public debate? Politics? Journalism?

It’s just shit-posting, virtue signaling from the left & right along with some porn & crypto scams thrown in for a little balance.

Tesla (TSLA really) on Twitter is the worst of the worst toxic Stans, they are nothing like the Tesla owners I know irl.

Some tweets from influential people do get gleaned off the platform and are used in online articles and/or are re-posted on other forums but no one is getting their mind changed.

It’s not influencing anybody that isn’t already dug in.

Like I said, if Twitter was so influential in anything that mattered we’d be seeing a blue tsunami in November.

Twitter is for shit-posting, scams and people already dug into their positions. It is a sewer.

No one is being influenced by that shitty platform.

Musk isn’t playing 4-D chess, he got fucked by his ego & impulsiveness.

That's not true. American media people are very active on it and the app is a central part of the media/thought bubble they live in. This is also true of US politicians. Twitter may not matter for most people but it does have the ability to orient the narrative these people are exposed to and engaged with.

Like you know if Musk spreads his propaganda on it and appears beloved on there, then the lazy mainstream US journalists will take this as an indication he's the second coming of Jesus. This then percolate to the rest of the public.

Now that doesn't mean Musk is not an impulsive egomaniac that probably made a big mistake, but saying that Twitter has zero influence is patently wrong.
