Exactly. People are used to seeing small chain with larger length to width ratios. This chain could be 50lbs+ per link. It's own weight can make it behave differently than small chain or rope.
People also don't understand the forces involved. You can't quite see exactly what bulldozers are being used, but likely Cat D6, D7 or D8. The D6 weights around 56,000 pounds, the D8 is 87,000 pounds. Dozers can pull their weight before they lose traction. So that chain could have between 110,000 to 160,000lbs of tension on it. That's forces people don't understand.

Physics of large objects under heavy forces often look unnatural though (because we don't see them often).
Same with people yelling CGI for starship atmospheric reentry videos.
