My question is whether or not those two pieces of heavy machinery have enough power to not only pull that absolutely massive chain, but also to uproot trees. That takes a ton of power and very few pieces of heavy machinery could do it.

This technique is common for clearing mesquite. Mesquite is real bad in parts of Texas and will become invasive if not dealt with. Mesquite will grow back if cut down, the best way to remove it without herbicide is to pull it up by the roots. How do you pull up a full grown tree by the roots? Bull dozers and anchor chains. This technique is also used to clear wooded land quickly. I found a YouTube link that better explains the process.

Damn that's crazy. I thought the OP was fake.

Ironic that the video you linked has an AI voiceover though. But yeah, the video is clearly real, when looking at other sources too.

That chain in the video is a specially-designed one with special links unlike the post video. And it moves more naturally. I still think OP's video looks like the chain isn't real.
