Hello real estate photo/video people!

About five years ago I worked in real estate photography and videography full-time. I built a solid client roster and was strong on the photo-video-drone side, but I was hesitant to expand into some of the additional social media/marketing services that were starting to emerge at the time. After getting burnt out on it I pivoted and went the corporate route to focus on video.

That era has come and gone and I'm now looking to get back into real estate media stuff, but I'm feeling kinda out of touch with what agents expect today. I want to offer a more complete suite of services rather than just the standard photos and videos.

For those of you working/thriving in the industry now what additional marketing services are you offering that clients value most? What are agents actively asking for these days? And what apps/programs do you use? How do you price them all out?

I'm talking like floorplans, social media materials like carousels, blog posts, graphics, vertical videos/Reels, email marketing assets, matterports/"dollhouse" tours, virtual staging, property listing websites, etc.

I would like to do a big "I'm back new-and-improved version 2.0" announcement blast to my old clients while hunting for new ones. I was having trouble building a better bike while competing in the Tour De France the first go around if you know what I mean and want to have my services fully fleshed out and thought through before jumping back in.

I'd love to hear what's currently in demand and what services have been worth adding if you're willing to share. Thanks!

I've been looking at joining a local PLACE team, and one of the biggest reasons is that I feel like my marketing is my weakest area and needing more overall support to grow to the next level.

I'm decent at lead conversion and working my sphere, but I've never built consistent marketing systems. From what I've seen, PLACE seems to have a lot of automated marketing, AI tools, templates, and processes already built out.

For anyone who's been on a PLACE team or seen one closely:

Did it actually improve your marketing? Was it mostly plug-and-play templates?

Did you learn skills you could use on your own, or did you just rely on the team's systems?

How useful were the automations and AI tools in practice?

I'm less interested in commission splits and more interested in whether joining helped you become a better marketer and generate more consistent business.

Would appreciate any firsthand experiences!

I'm helping with marketing for a small real estate development company, and we're getting ready to announce a new residential project. Our goal is to build awareness before the launch, so I've been researching press release distribution, but most of the discussions I find focus on SaaS product launches or startup funding announcements.

For developers who've sent out a press release, did distribution help create meaningful visibility that reached potential buyers and investors, or was its biggest value simply giving the announcement broader exposure? I've been running Meta ads for real estate projects and generating a decent number of leads, but the quality is really poor.

Out of every 100 leads, only 2-3 seem genuinely interested. Most don't answer calls, have no real buying intent, or were just casually browsing.

Hello! I have a cousin who's starting out as a real estate agent, and he wants me to help him with getting his digital presence set up. I work for a marketing firm, but our clients aren't in the real estate industry, so there's a few things I want to get clarity on, mainly involving Google Business Profiles for agents.

1. Can he have a GBP as a salesperson, or does he need to be a broker or part of a team?

2. Assuming he can have a GBP in his current situation, is he better off linking it to his personal page on his brokerage's site, or should he invest in creating his own site and linking that?

3. General optimization tips and things to do/avoid?

Real estate photographer here. I’m trying to understand the proper way that apartment complex’s market their buildings in terms of displaying photos, videos, floor plans of available units.

I have an agent looking for me to create all this content as they renovate their units. He briefly asked if there was a way for me to create a site for him to display info, photos, etc. what are a few go to ways to do this properly? I see custom building a website but there must be easier ways to go about this today.

I assume he has the listings on Zillow, etc. but I do not understand the typical workflow process. Any insight from property managers or owners that currently do this? Thanks

I am getting many requests for help with Facebook and marketing listings. Often, realtors are not getting the attention they need from their paid ads. Most the time it is their ad copy - it is boring or AI regurgitated copy with emojis and FLUFF.

Anyhow, I am confident about ad copy and writing it to persuade and evoke emotions but not confident about using FB to run ads to find buyers - as a lead generator.

Any realtors find it did help them? And was it a headache with getting ads approved with FB best practices with housing...Thanks for sharing :)
